Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on how they'd like to see the "Smallville Universe" carry on in TV or other mediums when Smallville's shelf-life finally expires.

You may want multiple items but I limited it to one vote for the one you want the most since most here would likely check every item on the list...

I say when the show is over be that this season or if they get a 9th season with tom welling i say spin off with a solo green arrow show and/or a justice league show with ollie, ac, bc,bart, victor, john, and then have smallville folks pop in once in awhile if they want to do a guest spot or atless get michael R/tom/allison(if her episode goes well) to direct some episodes here and there.

I went for the Metropolis series even if I haven't actually been that happy about Smallville in the past few seasons. I'm thinking it's a great way to reboot some of it. Have some people come together over few weekends and throw in ideas and concepts that'd be carried over few seasons.

Make Metropolis less cheerful, like the downside of Smallville, almost film noirisque. They should hire the guys responsible for Supernatural's look, it's delightfully steely and cold. Or copy what Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow had going. Would fit a big city like Metropolis nicely - it'd be like Fleischer Superman cartoons!

They should also bring back Ma Kent so that there'd actually be at least someone from the old show as a supporting cast who'd have few reasons to stick around.

A Justice League series with GA, BC, Aquaman, Impulse, Cyborg, MM and Kara would be awesome, imo.

Yea i said this before i think a jl type of show could easily work out. And if budget is a problem i can really see the whole team only team up full for like 3 episodes out of 22 episodes and then the rest of the season we just see 2/3 member teams doing missions and sprinkle a few solo episodes here and there and it could easily work.

have spinoff series for Green Arrow, JLA, Supergirl, etc

End it this season and continue to feature films with Tom, Erica and Michael.

I want the show to end in a year or two and that's it. No moving on to Superman films, animated shows or video games. Just end it. I think it's time to have another new take on the character after Smallville.

Give Justin Hartley his own ****in' show.

The dude has as much charisma and screen presence as Ackles and Padalecki, and the acting chops to carry a series.

Yeah, A series with Ollie and Dinah would be good. Maybe bring in Roy. Could have Welling or the other justice leaguers guest star once in awhile if ollie and dinah get in over their heads.

They might as well call it something different, because that is what it has become.

The new spin that Smallville put on Clark Kent has not been appreciated by most here, and their attempts to try to mush this "new" spin back around to the traditional... has violated the shows own continuity and ended up being awkward and convoluted too much of the time. :(

They might as well put a new name on it.

And as long as TW stays in it, I'll probably watch.

;)

What the point of continuing if Lex won't be on it?

He won't be continuing in the show but might do movies. Especially because such high profile movies will boost his career.
And even if he didn't want to do it, they can do Superman movies without Lex who frankly is a bit worn out villain in Superman movies. It might be time to focus on other villains.

End the show this season, I think is time to move on already. If TW is the next Superman I'll be happy, but we'll see what WB decides, same for Tom.

Seems like early on the spinoff series is the most popular, and absolutely no one likes the animation/video game idea. Personally, although its not my #1 choice, I would love a video game based on Smallville that was voiced by the actual cast.

I think their best bet is to give Justin Hartley his own Green Arrow/ JLA lite show. Have a revolving cast of characters from the JLA, make Black Canary a regular, and it leaves open a chance for many guest appearances from the DC universe.

He plays the character in a fantastic manner, and deserves the shot...and on top of that it could have guest appearances by Clark and maybe even have Chloe as a regular on the show as this universes Oracle.

My second choice is them putting the cast in a Superman movie.

I voted for the "Movie Franchise" option (coz I'm gonna keep banging that drum until it happens! ;)), but honestly, I'd take a Green Arrow show and/or Straight-to-DVD movies too.

I don't think we need a "Metropolis" series. I mean, Season 8 looks to be that anyway, so "Metropolis" would essentially be Season 9, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that that's the only option I don't want.

I'd love that too man. But I'd also love to see the cast expand into Superman movies probably will never happen though

I voted on a Green Arrow, JLA, Supergirl spinoff series. I like the idea Brainiac 8 has, give him his own show, and have heroes and villians from the DC universe show up. Yes have Dinah as a series regular and I would keep Chloe on as well (if she lives)

I voted for feature films, but I could also go for the spinoff idea.

Welling and Rosenbaum on the big screen...that would be awesome. I don't care if none of the other 'Smallville' characters are in it; seeing those two in a large-scale Superman movie would totally kick ass.

But now that Lex knows Clark's secret, I wonder how that would play out in a feature film. Hmm........

I think that would be an interesting twist to have Lex knowing Clark Kent is Superman in a feature film. That would give Lex some leverage.
