I remember watching a video interview on YouTube when Zeitgeist came out, where Billy and Jimmy discussed each track. Billy said the drums for United States were recorded in one shot, played from start to finish with no metronome. Which is insane!
If I had to pick three songs they'd probably be Oceania, Stellar, and Song for a Son, great guitar work on all three of those. Kind of tough to choose, there's more good songs in the last 8 years than people like to admit.
I've been listening to the Zwan album a lot the last few days and that album has some of Jimmy's best drum parts, he is just ripping through those tunes non stop.
