jeph loeb's no longer the head of marvel animation right? If that's true then good. Because even if spectacular were to continue i wouldn't have much faith in it if he was involved.

FINALLY!... good riddance...

do we even know why usm could be over? Did it not get enough ratings or what? Anyway, let it burn.

burn, baby, BURN!

Would be a dream come true for season 3 of SSM or SSM straight to Blu ray/DVD animated movies. I liked the 90's cartoon but SSM blew it out the water. I was mortified when it got cancelled and USM was just rubbing salt into the wounds.

Yes! Finally I agree with you, spider-neil! it would be great if they could continue it in any of those forms!

I'm on board with any type of continuation of TSSM whether it be a pickup right where things left off at the end of season 2, direct to dvd shows that move ahead to when Peter is in college or even if under Disney Weisman and Cook are able to make a show that is considered a 'spiritual' successor to TSSM. Any of those would be great.

Agree, all ideas are good!

The best Spider-Man cartoon ever made. It got nearly every character right.

Where did they come from? They look more like real people than the show designs.

I'm happy Sean Galloway got to provide the look for this series. There's nothing else quite like it and it suits Spidey's world really well.

This what the show would look like if it had better animation.

There's a difference between character designs and animation.

You do know static pictures are not animation right?

^ What he said.

I agree. While the designs he used gets a lot of criticism it gave the show a unique look and helped to make the show to be more of its own. I'd rather have something stylistic over something that appears generic (like the examples above)--I believe it would have taken something away from the show had they used the latter.

I found these on Youtube and thought they were pretty funny and creative.

It's hard for me to re-watch this show because I'm fully aware that it ends on a cliffhanger.

Spectacular Spider-Man is the best. I can't believe Marvel rebooted the animated series wth that muck known as Ultimate Spider-Man....

that's a nice way to describe it... I can think of another word... :hehe:

It took me awhile to figure out why those pictures a few posts up looked familiar. They have the same designs as character in Young Justice. Which honestly, they don't look bad. The Lizard is my favorite.

Not gonna lie, it does suck. You spend time and get so invested in these stories and characters that it's heartbreaking when it comes to a sudden and unresolved halt. This is the biggest drawback to the show. Though I would think that watching the show, now, for the first time would be better versus watching it as it was coming out because you can be made aware of these consequences. Making the sudden stop less impactful.

But, you could always just watch the first season. It has a nice, solid ending.

:funny:

Most fans would agree they nailed most of the characters on this show. But is there any character anyone feels wasn't done as well as they should have been?

Like for example did anyone think the shy placcid glasses wearing bookworm wallflower characterization they went with for Gwen was not right for her?
