The Spectacular Spider-Man Complete First Season on DVD in July

Picked up the first season last week. I still can't get over how incredible this show is. The animation is fluid, the movement is awesome, and the voice acting is top notch. I REALLY hope they renew it for a 3rd season. The second one is really starting to pick up and I read that a third season is entirely dependent upon how the second season fairs in the ratings.

Wish they would've gotten a little more in-depth with the special features, but oh well, they were still entertaining.

Hey does anybody know if there are any retailer exclusives with the First Season Set?

Like, for example, if you buy it at Target you get a free comic packaged in, or if you buy it at Wal-Mart it comes with an extra disc with like a sneak peek of season 3 or something?

Any info would be helpful, thanks.

JUST GOT MINE IN THE MAIL TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I got it from Walmart and it came with a teaser for Spider-Man 4.

Please tell me Spidey dies in the fourth one!!!!!

Hah.

I bought the first season yesterday. All we need now is the second season on DVD, because if the show doesn't get renewed, at least we can have two GREAT seasons on DVD.

I thought the second season was much weaker.

So did I. Much preferred season 2 over season 1.

Just got my season 1 dvd from Amazon. I've never watched this show, but have heard great things about it. Can't wait to tuck in!

That's the best. Getting a whole season and you haven't even seen it yet (and you know you'll love it). I did that with the MTV Spider-Man show. I loved that series.

So did I. Much preferred season 2 over season 1.

The only thing about the second one I liked was that they show us that
Norman was actually the Green Goblin the whole time.
It really pissed me off the way they made it look like
it was Harry in the first season.
I'm glad they cleaned that up in the second. Other than that, I thought the first was much better. Well, the second did have the famous scene where Spidey pushes himself up with all that crap on him. That was great.

Personally i liked both seasons they had good/an bad elements but still great.

I also think season two was better. The gang war arc was great. My only complaint was the mis-use of Kraven.

The only issues I had with season 2 were Kraven and Mysterio. My problem wasn't how they used them, my problem was that they used them. I'm really not a fan of either.

Not a fan of Goblin for that matter, but they made him tolerable. He seemed different from past incarnations.

Finally picked up my copy today. Hopefully can open it and see a few eps tonight after Yankees/Sox.

there is so much more detail in dvd, you can actually see the grain of sand in sandman. I soooo wish they'd release this in blu ray. Hopefully the dvd numbers are good and sony pick up the third season, they'd be mad not with the movie coming out in 2011. the agree to a third season, greg and the boys work on it for a year and then release it at the same time as the movie, everyone wins :yay:

Just finished watching S1 for the first time. Good show, but still can't hold a candle to SM:TAS of the 90's.

The 90s series sucked. It did have some good episodes but most of them sucked.

The Spectacular Spider-Man is the best media adaption of Spider-Man ever! Period.

Back on topic, I do wish that I could get this season set but considering that I don't live in the U.S, it's pretty hard for me to get it. Hopefully, a swedish site that had the volumes would import the season set so I could easily buy it from there.
