I don't mind the subtitles. It reminds me of getting bootleg VHS tapes on ebay.

If its a regular subtitled movie then I have no problems but if its insanity like DBZ then I prefer a dub just so I don't have to spare attention.

I usually go with sub over dub, just because, in general, I have found that the original language always trumps the dub even if the dub is good. There are exceptions, and DBZ is one of them. I can't say why exactly, but I just can't get into the original language.

I generally stick with subs, I find a lot of dubbing, particularly with DBZ and Funimation that they over-act and ham it up too much for my liking. Christopher Sabat can be down right atrocious at the best of times. Once I tried DBZ subbed I never looked back. The original Japanese actors for Muten Roshi and Tenshinhan back in Dragonball are phenominal!

I do have a few exceptions.

Cowboy Bebop
Trigun
Baccano!
GitS: Stand Alone Complex

These 4 have the best english dubs I've ever seen and prefer to watch them that way.

Granted, I am not much of an anime fan (I haven't watched a new one aside from Dragon Ball Super and Sailor Moon Crystal in about 11-12 years, and I honestly don't care to watch anything new ...), but from the ones I have seen, these are my favorite English dubs:

-Cowboy Bebop (duh)
-Trigun
-Noir
-Fruits Basket

When it comes to DBZ, I'm fine with watching it in both languages for the most part. There are parts about the sub that I like more, and there are parts of the dub that I like more. I probably watch the dub more often though.

That transformation scene was phenominal! The whole thing was great.

I just watched that and holy hell it's amazing. Why can't the big movie companies work on a DBZ movie like that instead of Evolution?

I'm going to have to watch this after work

I'd recommend it. It's very well done. I'd have to watch the androids one again to make sure but I think I like this one better.

It took me a minute to realize Krillin was Krillin. I loved how they included Tien and Choutzu (However you spell that ****ing name) along with Dr Briefs. The only thing I kind of dislike was Cells face but I understand why they did it. The live action design for him is amazing.

JAP Chouzu
ENG Chiaotzu

One of the things I like about Cell's design is that he becomes less insectoid as he becomes more perfect, so I was a bit off put by that. But yeah I understand the constraints they would've had in animating a face.

Also when you look at Cell as he is in the anime, he kind of looks a human wearing some kind of body armor, complete with a chin strap. Giving his face a bit more emphasis on alien features.

In either case, I think they did a great job conveying Cell's personality through his actions and body language. A heartless monster that carries himself with intelligence and a sense of superiority.

I liked light of hope better but this one has the world down better. The cities and locations look more like the dragonball world. I liked the fighting and db sounds better in light of hope. This one has a better filter though I like the color tones.

Glad that they have changed up some elements from the Return of F film.

What did they change?

[BLACKOUT]- Tagoma isn't killed by Frieza, instead he trains with him (or rather, he's Frieza's punching bag) and becomes quite powerful. He's the one to severely wound Gohan, not Frieza. Oh and he kills the red horned henchman (Shisami?) in the proces.

- Goten and Trunks will be present during the events, since they're seen reacting to Tagoma's power-up at the end of the latest episode and flying off.[/BLACKOUT]

Those are the main differences. The rest is pretty much the same, just with added details and more backstory.

Also, it seems [BLACKOUT]Ginyu might swap or attempt to swap bodies with Tagoma during the fight against the Z fighters[/BLACKOUT].

I also heard that per the manga [BLACKOUT]Champa has a team of saiyans for the tournament. Earth 7 was destroyed by a "senseless" war, perhaps Kakkarot actually went/stayed evil there.[/BLACKOUT]
