The Spirit of The Ultimate Warrior will run forever in The Wrestling Thread

I most definitely am. Love that team and the school. :yay:

Macho Man definitely deserves to be in the HOF, but I think, like a lot of performers, there was some bad blood between Savage and McMahon. There's an old rumor about Savage having a fling with Stephanie that led to him being permanently banned from the company.

I'm not sure if any of that is true, but McMahon's been known to hold grudges for a long time. It's just sad that they weren't able to reconcile their differences before Savage's passing. He's one of the best performers of all time and should've been inducted long before some of the recent inductees.

Also, how does everyone feel about WCW performers being inducted in the HOF? It seems like WWE is trying to mainly award spots to their performers. Even this year they inducted Scott Hall, but it seemed to mainly be based off his merits as Razor Ramon. His career in WCW was close to equal as his in WWF, in my opinion, yet there was barely a mention of his time in Atlanta. With constant rumors of Sting being inducted, should the WWE HOF be viewed more as a Wrestling HOF or one focused solely on contributors to the WWE?

My wife found this today while cleaning up.. Gonna represent..

I still have a Randy Savage version of this.

@ wheatshox: I think the WWE Hall of Fame is spiritually a Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame at this point; the inclusion of guys like Nick Bockwinkel, Gordon Solie and Bob Armstrong would indicate that.

Some class being shown by some greats here.

Chris Jericho: "Devastated to hear of the passing of @UltimateWarrior. He was a childhood hero of mine & he vs @HulkHogan WM6 is still one of the best ever"

Hornswoggle: "Saw him at the airport this morning and was going to say hello but didn't want to bother him. Still so unreal and such mind blowing news."

Trish Stratus: "Sad to hear news of Warrior passing. Just seeing him happy last 3 days – it puts life in perspective that it can't be taken for granted. RIP"

Daniel Bryan: "Heartbroken. My sincerest condolences go out to The Warrior's family. Seeing how much he loved his daughters and his wife this weekend makes it all the more heartbreaking. The Ultimate Warrior was my favorite as a kid, and getting to speak to him this weekend was one of my favorite moments. He was so nice to me. #RIPWarrior"

Randy Orton: "My thoughts and prayers go out to the Warrior family. It breaks my heart after seeing how proud his girls are of their father. Stay strong"

Batista: "After all these years I finally got 2 tell him that me shaking the ropes was an homage 2 him. Blessed to have had that moment. #onelife"

The Rock: "Loss always has a way of reminding us to live and love as greatly as we can. My prayers and strength to his family. RIP Ultimate Warrior."

Diamond Dallas Page: "Deeply saddened to find out about the passing of #WWE LEGEND, @UltimateWarrior. You & your legacy will FOREVER be remembered in our hearts!"

Exactly, I saw an article saying the heat was lost because Brock isn't there every week, but Heyman carries that heat to managing Cesaro, it elevated Cesaro by proxy, and when Brock returns and most likely wins the WWE title, then beating him at Mania allows the guy who does so to beat the guy that ended the streak, thus giving them a bigger title win than any other possible without having the stigma of being the guy that essentially retired Taker.

Completely agree.

Since wrestling is a work anyone who made them money should be considered for the Hall of Fame. There is a lot of great talent who never one the big one ,but deserve to be honored. There should be a certain order and headline placement though. Warrior wanted ring crew to be inducted. I hope they honor that next year with his passing. Also wwe owns libraries of people's matches and it would be beneficial to induct outside talents like Sting so they can promote their network and Hall of fame.

Macho Man is the biggest exclusion from the Hof. I've read rumors but he did do a commercial for WWE all stars game before his passing. If he were alive today I think he would of made peace with McMahon. He needs to be inducted. His brothers are crazy for preventing that. I think it was Randy that made the request though , so may just be honoring his wishes.

The only way I see Lesnar winning the title is if he signs a contract where he gets more apperences. I don't think he'll win the title if he just shows up to build a feud at summerslam and then he leaves till WM roles around again.

If they do put the strap on him going into Mania 31, then I see it being a deal similar to Rock's last year, with him possibly winning the title at the Rumble. They'll probaly save up most of his set dates for the 2-3 month period then.

Catastrophic medical condition? So he probably knew. Damn.

That Brock Lesnar troll face is hilarious. Brock trolled wrestlemania:woot:

What's the deal with CM Punk? Is he sworn to silence until his contract expires?

That seems likely. We could also see Rock challenge him next year.

If he goes into Mania as the champion, then I hope the match will be against one of the new generation rather than wasted on yet another throwback type match.

I need to go find Warrior's bluray before it's impossible to find.

So do we mostly thank Trips or Vince for WM 30/Raw and the new direction or both?

Time to start up the wwe network :o

Woke up this morning to find out about Warrior and I don't even know how to process it. I mean, after all of these years of "exile" to see him finally return in a way that I never thought would have been possible, it's just so sad to see that his final moments saw him return to a time and place of glory. It's great that he had the time and opportunity to see that unlike some people who pass too soon to see their legacy honored, but that's what makes it even more heartbreaking.

Colin Cowherd is up to his usual shtick again,

If he knew how ill he was and the promo had that vibe on purpose then I definitely respect that. Warrior went out like a boss.

the Warrior news really hits hard for me.

I'm a child of the 80s and grew up watching that era of wrestling. Warrior. Macho Man. Hulk Hogan. Bret Hart. Mr. Perfect. The Rockers. Those were the guys I grew up watching.

Warrior and Hogan were always my favorites.

I remember being a little kid, asking my mom to paint my face like Warrior's, and then going out on Halloween dressed in Warrior gear.

It's so bittersweet to finally see him again in the WWE, only a mere few days later to hear this news.

it's just..................I'm still having a hard time processing it.

one of my childhood heroes is gone. :(
