Horror The Strangers

Horror and slasher films.
So... why was The Scarecrow in it? Warner Bros. should totally sue!

Has anybody picked up the DVD/Blu-Ray? I'm still not sure if I'm going to.

Oh. I should watch it since I bought the DVD... *sighs* hmm The strangers or the Incredible Hulk.. hmm

this movie seems a bit overrated....

i think it's fine how it is, even though there are more people that dont like it than do, me being one that does like it.

Whats the difference with the unrated version?

this movie was horrible. i wouldnt say it was overrated, because i didnt hear any great things about, but then again it didnt deserve great things either.

I didn't really notice a Difference, although i don't remember the part where the masked dude comes back to take away whats his name's friends cell phone when it rings at the end

Ok, that's your opinion. Why was it "horrible" ?

The reasons people gave me for not liking it was because of the killers having no backstory. Personally, that's one of the reasons why i liked it that much more.

it was unoriginal. which yea you could say most "horror" movies are now, but at least make it scary. Did not jump once, no one in the theater did either.
The supposed suspense wasn't there, mainly because everything had already been done. If suspense is what it was trying to achieve, go for something like Vacancy. It had nearly the same plot, yes it was unoriginal, and really not great but at least it damn suspenseful. It was too short, i usually love endings that aren't complete in the traditional movie ending sense, but the way it was directed seemed sooo amateur.

and that last line "Do you sin?" "Sometimes".

PLEASE!! it was all so boringly bad. and yes, the Scarecrow was much scarier in Batman Begins.

I'd prefer to watch the original French version. Olivia Bonamy is more unassuming as a victim. The poster was even better. Right now, "The Strangers" poster has the same approach as Captivity and the upcoming film "The UnBorn". But with the French version, the mask is emphasized.

Has anybody noticed a negative horror trend of children as evil, or contributing to evil? Or maybe I'm not watching enough horror films?

Yeah, I think thats the two minutes that was added into the film. I don't know why they took it out though, I guess to make the jump scare at the end more effective. cause you don't know shes alive yet.

That was the only thing I noticed that was different as well.

Please don't justify your argument by talking about others in the theater. That's annoying. You couldn't possibly know how they were feeling unless you held a poll at the back of the theater as every single person walked out.

In my opinion it was one of the most refreshing horror films I've seen in awhile. It didn't rely on blood and graphic violence thankfully. It was pure suspense and I was at the edge of my seat the entire time.

The murder family was ahead of the victims in every step of the way and that was awesome, even when you thought they may have outsmarted them, they never did. Very creepy and technically smart filmmaking. I'd say the director knows how to play an audience.

Just saw this tonight. Great movie. Actually scared me, and it was good seeing Glenn Howerton on the screen (Dennis Reynolds to all you Sunny fans).

Why exactly did they [blackout]remove their masks at the end?[/blackout]
