Horror The Strangers

Horror and slasher films.
I for one loved this movie alot because it was a break from the over bearing of Saw and it's torture porn brothers/sisters. It was a good old horror film in the vain of Halloween where you are scared more by what you don't see than you see.

Yeah it was something different and I would venture to say the best horror movie to come out in a while. The mystery of the Strangers, their prolonged torture, etc...I just think it could have been outstanding:(

the saw movie should have stopped after the first one honestly

Just because someone wears a bag over their heads does not making them the scarecrow and the scarcrow look in batman begins isn't orginal, so really lets calm down about the whole scarecrow deal. This movie is one of the best horror movies in recent years, arguably since Scream

I liked this film. 7/10. I can't believe critics were so hard on it. Sometimes I wonder if critics like anything.

Also, did anybody love that sprout and the bean loop in the trailer as much as me?

creepy and cool.

i thought this was a very effective film. it was quite simple, but also scary. whcih hardly any horror movies are capable of now a days.

Hellllllllls yeah, i never even thought of that. THat'd be a sick ass ringtone. Let me know if you find anything.

Saw this finally, last night. Freaking scary.

I first watched this drunk with a few of my friends. One friend and I were doing MST3K-like commentary so we ended up laughing more than screaming.

That said, I was thinking of this movie last night as I was in bed and thought about how creepy the plot is.

I'll probably want to watch it again sometime sober, maybe just with the gf. Who knows, I might enjoy it a lot more.

Just so you know, thats not sprout and the bean. It says in the video it's Gillian Welch-My First Lover.

I'm sorry...this movie is about a guy who has a loaded shotgun and is inside a locked house being terrorized by someone outside who has an ax.

Heres what you do...you shoot one. Take his ax. Chop his head off. Throw it in the front yard. Sit and wait to see if his friends feel like doing something stupid. Roll credits.

Not scary at all.

Any scary movie can be made un-scary when broken down that much

^^HAHAHAHA
You would have enjoyed our commentary on the movie.

Wrong. In most horror movies, the innocent victims are at a disadvantage. They are imprisoned, they are injured, they have no weapons, they are fighting an unstoppable undead mutant, or some combination thereof. In this film, it is The VICTIMS who have the tactical advantage since the bad guys had to get through the narrow front door while the victims were protected by walls, and of course could blast them as they barged through that door. Also, the victims outgunned the killers. These were not unstoppable undead mutants, so a gun would stop them cold...and all they had were axes and such, which I suppose could be thrown, but not accurately, and not nearly as far as a shotgun blast could reach them. So, all the advtanges were in the victims favor, meaning no horror.

I honestly wasnt suspecting a horror movie more of a creep suspenseful movie which I got....maybe that's why I liked it.
