That suit is perfection! Holy ****! I'm so glad they made it look almost exactly like the comicbook version!!!!!

that is by far the worst picture of the joker

i cant get over this!

everything is wrong about it!

what the **** is nolan doing? he's a ****ing idiot! did he ever read a batman comic? i guess BB was just a goof if this is the kind of crap he is gonnna give us

that doesn't even look like the joker! bunch of fuc....(whats that? ...really?.....not the joker?....IRONMAN!!?...oh.....)

ummm

cool

Finally, a suit that's faithful to the comics. I mean, that's not even a great shot of the suit and people are freaking out about it because it's actually close to the original source...now how hard is that for other comicbook movies to do?

The suit looks great, VERY faithful to the comics, i'm still a bit sceptical about Favreau's action credentials, but this movie is shaping up to be something good.

That's the best comic book movie suit since Spider-Man. Heck,it may even be on par with Spider-Man's :hyper:

The Spider-man suit gets way too much credit in my opinion. They needed to make it look like a very well done homemade costume. The raised webbing, lenses for eyes, rubber material looks way too Hollywood to be something Spider-man would actually wear. That they screwed up so badly on the symbiote suit cancels out any credit I gave them. This suit is the clear winner.

it is a robocop suit. of course it is easier to do than a superman suit.

Repeat after me...............
The comic's suits would look silly on film............The comic's suits would look silly on film..........The comic's suits would look silly on film............BULL-ONEY

Thank you Iron Man for showing the way!

I'm very impressed with the armor as a whole, they have managed to combine classic look's with a new flare, keeping the classic circle uni-beam on his chest is fantastic and is one of Iron Man's signature's, and also using much of Adi Granov's look complete's what is easliy the best Armor I've seen for Iron Man in a long time and its very much a movie exclusive armor.

I was thinking mark II would be a pre painted mark III(not war machine). I originally thought it could be war machine but I read on another thread war machine is more advanced so it wouldn't make sense

I can't wait to buy the toys :D

I'm betting mark II is the classic Romita and Layton costume. to which I say WOOHOOO

Huh? Don't have that backwards?

A two-toned mechanical robot suit with repulsor rays in his hands is way more difficult to interpet on screen than a Superman suit which you can buy out any costume shop.

Besides they had the perfect Superman suit in the Chris Reeves movies and didn't really need much of an "update" in Superman Returns.

Man I break out in tears every time I look at that suit.

I never..thought...i..would..see..never...the...day....I'm sorry I can't myself....

wow absolute perfection. I don't see how anyone can possibly conplain about this.

Looks great. Do we have confirmation that's the "live" suit or is that CG? Looks CG to me but what do I know.

So much for the myth that most comic book costumes cant be done faithfully on film...

this entire movie merely proves that its been crappy studios like fox holding back marvel properties from being truly good movies faithful to the source material...

i'm so sick of hearing people say that about this costume, and it's only been a day or two. is this a spot-on adaptation? more or less, sure. does that mean that wolverine's yellow spandex would work on screen? no.

but if you want to get down to it, this armor is far from a perfect adaptaion. don't get me wrong, it looks terrific, and i love it, but there a lot of little changes here and there (that are for the better, in my opinion). it's just that iron man's armor changed all the time, so it's much easier to get a the look right on screen, because there is no definitive look for him, other than the basics (the color, the glowing chest, etc) all the other details can be changed.

but just because we're getting an awesome (from the looks so far) iron-man movie doesn't mean that fox (or whoever) screwed up with their movies, it just means that iron-man comics are better suited for adaptaion than things like elektra.

I wonder how they're going to represent the view from out of the helmet... a VR environment as is currently shown in the comics or a jet fighter-like HUD kinda like w/Robobcop or the Terminator...?

Just got site of this pic and the geek in me was giggling like a school girl. This looks pretty darn nifty to me, from the angle we get. I have been a long time fan of IM, he's my favorite character, and I've wanted to see him on the big screen since forever. I've been very reserved and skeptical about this film, partly because of the director and cast involved, partly because of the technical nightmare in bringing the armor to life. Both the Mark I and Mark III look to be faithful renditions and since Grandov's version is the best armor to date, I'm happy they stayed true to the comics. I just can't wait for this movie to come out and the toys we get with the movie is just icing on the cake.

No. They were wrong and did screw up, BIG TIME!

They were wrong for not even trying to adapt the suits to be more faithful to the ones in the comics.

And if anything, this IRON MAN suit, which is way more complicated to show on the big screen tha wolverines, or anyone else, and Yet..they did it. they didn't just make it true to the comic, it looks like the best adaptation of any comic to movie uniform.

Proving it can be done if they stay true to the source material and not look silly!

Hopeful seeing how successful this IRONMAN suit looks will now reverse this trend so directors of superhero movie to STOP trying to overthink how a superhero's traditional look should be interpert for the big screen and STICK TO THE SOURCE MATERIAL!!!!!

And the only GOOD thing about the Electra movie was her suit. At least it was the same color as the one she wore in the comic.

The armour looks absolutely beautiful! I can't wait for this movie!!!!!!!!!!!
