Dunno why people keep short-changing Hawkeye and Green Arrow as non-supers, when their trick arrows ARE their super powers. Lightning bolt? Fireball? Acid blast? Bola? Buzzsaw? Freeze blast? Heatseeker? Flashbang? Grappling hook? Net? Sonic blast? Stunner? Gas grenade? All the above, and more....Ollie and Clint have got 'em. Think of those two as the "magic-users" in the party, with "spells" for every occasion.

As for Widow....well.....Still hard to justify her as an Avenger, even in the comics. The idea is that she's a James Bond superspy, but she's rarely seen doing that kind of spycraft or Utility Belt-style gadgetry. Hate to say it, but she's mainly been used in the Avengers as a "camp follower" (a very old euphemism for "hooker").

I agree with you, but it is a bit weird that Hawkeye and Black Widow are battling these alien invaders with no form of protection.

All it would take is one well placed projectile or explosion and it would mean the end of those two.

Pick up Mighty Avengers #1. She's one of the Avengers greatest members.

Yeah, I haven't read many Avengers comics, but in the ones I've have, Black Widow has played a pretty integral part.

Plus her co-starring in Captain America/Winter Soldier for the past 5 years or so has really shown her worth has a character, I think.

Just picture that scene where the camera spins around them and instead of Hawkeye and Black Widow in the group you have Wolverine and Spider-Man.

Wolverine and Spider-Man are not Avengers. They're Bendisvengers.

I don't mind Hawkeye and Black Widow being there, especially Hawkeye who is a long time Avenger.

But if it was anyone else I'd have either the Pyms or Black Panther and Ms Marvel.

Great trailer and the extended version is even much better,Sure the Pyms should have been first before Clint&BW and they may not have the protection needed for these type of battles But they are super agents and Hawkeye at least has the extra advantage of having special arrows that gets the job done!!

In the story it may fit cause"we are hopelessly outnumbered",I'm personally cool with it cause Clint is a true long-time Avenger and I just always preferred him over Hank Pym and Widow has always been alright with me!!

Just seen it. Amazing. Can't wait to see this. I wasn't that pumped for it, but now, excitement went through the roof and just reminded of the great movies coming out this year.

Believe it or not, I did in fact watch the show back in 2002. I only caught eight episodes but the show never really 'gripped' me. And I'm a huge Sci-Fi fan. Prepare yourself, but I'm one of the few that just didn't love it as much as everyone else did. It had that 'western' feel to it, and I don't dig westerns.

Oh, and I've not once finished a viewing of Fight Club either. I really hated the film. I know it's not Wheldon-related but, in terms, of pop-culture, it's another film or movement that I never took apart of, unfortunately. t:

Most pop culture movies I don't care for either, including Fight Club, and pretty much every single Quentin Tarantino movie. I'm still scratching my head on what was so great about Inglorious Bastards. Eh, I'll take Tropic Thunder any day.

Bout the closest he got for me was in Snatch, and for me Benjamin Button was a whole lot better before it was young Brad Pitt for the second part of movie. I think it speaks to there skill and expertise. While fighting they would concentrate on stealth, range, and precision. All hawkeye needs is one shot and its over for his enemies. BW will most likely stealth kill and hijack some alien tech.

I suggest you watch some more movies .....

Brad Pitt has done more than play himself. His acting in "Fight Club", "Money Ball", and "Inglorious Basterds" .... not to mention "Se7en" ..... were all top notch.
