Clark?....also Baba O'Reily.

Is the Fortress of Solitude really necessary?

Yes. He needs a place away from the troubles of the world. A little peice of Krypton on Earth he can call home.

Remy Zero's "Save Me" or Lois&Clark's Theme?

But don't you think Smallville can fill that? Why does he need a piece of Krypton, he doesn't really think of himself as Kryptonian?

Not so much. He'll always be drawn between the two sides of who he is. Krypton and Earth. He needs both.

The hardest thing for a man that can hear everything to do is to learn not to listen. Solitude helps that.

Lois and Clark's Theme (and this from someone who hates Lois and Clark).

Jimmy Olsen: Bow tie or no bow tie? :)

if we're talking modern Jimmy, then please, no bow tie.

Smallville:

As cool, hip, and happening as it is on the WB

or

that really little place that basically no one knows about and that Lois has good reason for making fun of Clark for

???

little place no one knows about.

ummm....thinking....

clarks favorite actor:

clark gable or kent taylor?

hahahha....good one.

clark gable.

Daily Planet:

Crazy, packed, almost claustrophobic [in mostly a good way] newsroom [STM]

or

Big, modern/futuristic newsbuilding [TAS]

???

Oh heck, I'll go with Aimee Mann ... :)

And now, for the next stage of the This or That game ... the Salkinds once demanded that Chris Reeve stuff his crotch because, as they once said, "eeezer he has a BIG one, or nothing at all!" (at least, this is what Margot Kidder reported the Salkinds had said on the "Superman" DVD).

So... does Superman have a big one, or nothing at all downstairs?

Yes, I think I have taken this board to a new low ...

Ee 'az a bege one!

Worse case of typecasting: Christopher Reeve as Superman or Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker?

hmmm....

Hamill. Sad to say it, but I'm kind of glad Reeve became THE Superman on the screen for years and years to come [title still holding].

o yeah, and...

STM Worse Technical Blooper:

Gravity-defying cape [Cat Burglar "Something wrong with the elevator?" Scene]

or

Backwards \S/ [saving the damaged Airforce One "What the hell's going on out there?" Scene]

???

Backwards \S/ [saving the damaged Airforce One "What the hell's going on out there?" Scene]

On the subject of Hamill and Reeve -- at least Christopher Reeve went on to star in a major cult favorite ("Somewhere in Time") and a terrific movie adaptation of a Broadway play ("Deathtrap"). Mark Hamill did "Corvette Summer," "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia," and had an abysmal supporting role (later in his career) in "The Guyver." So I have to agree with Zorex ... Hamill wins this contest, hands down.

Better line:

"You've got me ... who's got you???"

or

"I never drink when I fly."

That is the best question yet. I think "I never drink when i fly" is the better line, but "You've got me...who's got you?" is more memorable and Iconic. Sorry for the fuzzy answer, but that's a tough one.

Worst stunt casting:

Richard Pryor in Superman 3

or

Superman (George Reeves) in I love Lucy (it happened!)?

Dude....Reeves on I LOVE LUCY kicked ass.

And besides, that was only one episode, not a whole f**king movie. Ugh.

Does Clark NEED to eat? I'm sure he does because food tastes so good, but would he die without it?

Yes, he needs food. Not as much as we do, due to faster, 'super' metabolism. still, being an organic, biological being, he's going to need food sooner or later. just like we can go for certain periods of time without water or food [tho not at all healthy], Clark can too, just longer.

plus, i mean, he was raised a human. in kansas. he's a corn-fed stud.

uck, AGAIN i forget this part:p:

Worst Romantic 'Subplot':

The blonde bimbo [the name, sadly, eludes me...] (Superman III)

or

Lazy Warfield (Superman IV)

???

She wasn't really a bimbo. She was reading philosophy books by Kant and just playing like she was a bimbo.

But regardless, Lacy was the better subplot (I think...may change mind on further review).

Better triumverate of villians: Lorelei (the bimbo), Vera (the b!tch), and Ross Webseter (the tycoon)

OR

Lenny (the comic relief), Nuclear Man (the muscle), and Lex Luthor (the genius)?

Wow, that's hard. Even though I hated "Superman IV" with a passion, I'd have to go with:

Lenny (the comic relief), Nuclear Man (the muscle), and Lex Luthor (the genius)

If only because the trip in "Superman III" was a terribly lame substitution for Hackman (the genius), Beatty (the idiot), and Perrine (the sexpot with a heart).

Next question:

More moving scene in "Superman - The Movie:"

The cemetery scene after Pa Kent (Glenn Ford) has died ("... all those powers ... and I still couldn't save him ... ")

or

When Clark Kent says goodbye to Ma Kent in the wheat field? (... remember us ... always remember us ...")

The cemetery scene, though I think the scene after he finds Lois dead is even more powerful.

Does Clark inherently dislike any movie with a lot of violence (Godfather, Kill Bill...)?

Yes, he does (in "Superman II," he mentions how he's been reading Dickens instead of watching TV which has too much violence).

Incidentally, I thought about having the choice be between Lois' Death and the Cemetery Scene, but I was always really moved by the moment where he says goodbye to his Mom. The dialogue, the sunrise over the wheat fields, the music by John Williams ... it always brings a tear to my eye.

Better Clark Kent to Superman "shirt-rip":

"Superman: The Movie" (running across the street right towards the camera, followed by the revolving door) or "Superman II" (running through the alley)

But do you think he's doing that just to be more "Clark"? Or does it change your answer if you think about the Abrams Clark instead of the Reeve Clark?

THE MOVIE rip.

McClure.

Clark's favorite Jethro Tull album: THICK AS A BRICK, STAND UP, or BENEFIT?

Got to speak up here:

McClure was just a rehash of Jack Larsen.

I prefer Justin Whalen as 'Jimmy'.

Even after reading the Abrams script, I still don't think Superman digs the violent movies. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't see that particular character getting into the wanton gore and senseless mayhem of "Kill Bill."

Oh yes, and I choose:

Gene Hackman or John Shea (from "Lois and Clark")?
