The Switch-a-Roo: Daniel Craig

Some of you here are missing the point of this thread. It's not about replacing Hugh Jackman (who has done a superb job at portraying Wolverine), but more of a rewriting of history, as how ShadowBoxing has put it. If Jackman was never given the role, would Craig have made a good Wolverine if not at par with Jackman?

It's not a question of comparing the two actors. It's solely on whether Craig would fit the role well.

I just don't see Wolverine when I look at Craig. His features just scream "Brit" to me.

I think Craig would have been good. Jackman is okay, but he never really nailed the character. Now, I don't really blame this on him, it was more the script, they never really wrote Logan as rugged acting and as much as a loner as he really was, and I'm not even going to mention X3.

I think Craig has the right build and gruff nature suitable for Wolverine... but something about him doesn't fit. I don't think he's a bad choice or anything (I think it would be interesting to see him as Wolverine), but there's something about him that doesn't quite work for me.

Maybe I'm getting my timelines wrong but I always thought the character Wolverine was based on Jack Nicholson - they are one and the same perosn.

Hugh was good, but by no means was there no room for improvement. I don't think we've seen the perfect Wolverine on screen yet, ala Bales Batman.
