one thing im curious about is when surfer lets him go in space. how does johnny get back to earth. when your in space u dont fall just straight down. you float around.

Well, if you look closely they aren't in full space, its a suborbital path they're in. You would fall straight down, if you were in deep space you'd float but you would fall right back, thats why low flying space junk falls to earth. Duh.
