I dont know about you all, but i loved the first film...the rest sucked.

I liked the new animated film TMNT, I thought it caught the personallitites of all the turtles perfectly.

The first film was pretty awesome and the recent TMNT animated film. Part 2 was ok, I saw it the other day, it was just really cheesy, same goes for part 3.

Loved the first live action and the old cartoon but the animated one sucked big time.

The first film is a classic in my eyes I remember when I collected the figs and was sooooo pumped for the movie!

The first, second, and 4th ROCKED!

3rd can BURN IN HEELLLL!!!!:cmad:

i liked the 2nd half the time...it lead up to a pretty stupid climax...i mean, Vanilla Ice is all i have to say....3 was s***..still havent seen TMNT animated...

The first film was excellent. I have appreciation for it.

Not so much for the rest of them even though 2 wasn't that bad. although i haven't seen the new one. I just don't think it will be the same.

Ninja Turtles = A great mixture of the comics and `80s cartoon.
Ninja Turtles 2 = A bit too light-hearted, but still entertaining.
Ninja Turtles 3 = CRAP! :cmad:
TMNT = Really good :yay:

And now for some Ninja Rap :o

People complain about Ninja Rap, but how bad can it REALLY be if it over-shadows, Turtle Power, which is a superior song!?

Love all of em except the 3rd (as fun as that is to pull the whole mst3k thing for). The fights are suprisingly well done for such heavy suits. Kudos to Jim Henson. The animated movie was even better. Storyline was pretty generic but the action was through the roof. Ripping off The Incredibles was the way to go. :woot:

Ninja Turtles = great
Ninja Turtles 2 = better... but with vanilla:csad:
Ninja Turtles 3 = ****!
TMNT = better than 3 but still ****!

you thought 2 was better than 1? thats surprising.

A lot of people liked the second installment more than the first because it was closer to the cartoons. The first movie is a mixture of the comics AND cartoons. The second is only faithful to the cartoons.

:woot: I still have this soundtrack on cassette tape.

i like the attitude of 1 compared to 2. it was darker IMO. i hate to say the word 'realistic' in regards to any movie about turtles as ninjas..but to me, 2 went too far, with tokar and razar(names/spelling?) then super shredder....the fights were great though.

Thats what I liked about it as well. The Turtles have NEVER been dark characters, but the world around them IS so you have to combine the lightness of the Turtles with the darkness of New York City.

But...lets be honest. The ONLY reason the first movie was dark was cause they wanted to cash in on the success of Batman, which was released the year before.

Hence why they felt so comfortable with making a light-hearted sequel. I don't know if this was EVER intended to be a dark franchise. They probably always intended to be closer to the cartoons than with the comics which the second movie basically accomplished.

Never looked at it that way! great post. but still the darker tone was great to me. the scene where Raphael gets his ass kicked, and Aprils apartment burns...to Leonardo not leaving Raphaels side when hes in a coma...to the scene where they meditate and see Splinter in the fire and cry...then the fight with shredder...it was fantastically done. i dont wish TMNT 2 was darker, i just wish it would have followed the seriousness the first film gave us.

In 1990 we got Turtles, Darkman, and DICK TRACY. All of which were released to cash in on the success of Batman.

I wouldn't call those dark scenes per say. They were simply dramatic scenes.

darker in the sense of being for kids, like the sequels were...they are definately darker then 'cowabunga' scenes.

The first was dark for its kind because it was a great coming of age morality tale that beautifully blended the comics with the cartoons, it had nothing to do with Batman.
That was the movie of my childhood. I loved the second one at the time, 3 is a horrible movie but nice nostalgia, and the new movie was great, though not quite as good as the original live action one.
