Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang by Kode Logic.

I don't think Jai will look anything like the traditional looking Boomerang from the comics. He will look more like a grounded assassin IMO....not some silly looking Aussie from the comics.

The version on arrow was cool and even with their limited resources they made the boomerang stuff work, but... I am hoping for a more accurate to the comics personality from Courney. Sorry, Boomer is competent with the fighting, sure, but he's a weasel, a coward and do what ever it takes to survive type. I need that in my big screen Boomer.

Nice manip! But yeah, I doubt he'll look that close to the comic version. He probably won't look that different from the Arrow version, though I doubt he'll have a silly hipster *****e haircut like that guy.

That suit would work in live-action and wouldn't come off cheesy to me at all. Even his scarf can work...just remove the boomerang emblem from the beanie and it all works.

The arrow version looks good can you image how well he looks on a bigger budget

I like this look for Jai as Boomerang. Grounded....yet different but edgy and he still looks badass and not like some goof.

Reading through some of my old Wizard Magazines I found the article "Queer eye for the super guy", where they brought gay comic book pros to talk about which superhero looks could be improved, and one of the targets was Captain Boomerang. Phil Jimenez came up with this lil' design, which I thought was kinda cool.

Their approach: "Updating his look requires looking at Digger Harkness, the man beneath the blue tunic, and giving him a uniform that maintains his colorful ties to the Flash while making sense for a guy raised in the outback. Gone are the boots and the scarf; in their place, a uniform with compartments for his various boomerangs. Hard boots and a much less flashy tunic help. / Sort of Crocodile Dundee by way of Dolce and Gabbana. And I'd add some face paint - traditional Aboriginal markings, to pay homage to the people who started throwing boomerangs in the first place."

I definitely like the face tattoo idea. And the flashy jacket and look give a glimpse into his personality and ego, which you'd definitely need if you made yourself a boomerang-themed villain (when you could just pick up a machine gun instead). It's a super obscure source of inspiration, but still. Cool ideas.
