The thunder- thunder- THUNDERCATS HOOOOOO!-thread - Part 2

That was a great episode, it explained allot why Tygra hates Lion-O so much and has so much resentment towards him and how he came to be with the lions, very cool stuff. Lion-O also seems much wiser after the trials, I like.:awesome::up:

I don't know, he's still a bit of a whiney *****e.

But yeah, this was a pretty good ep.

Tab Murphy writes the best eps. His resume from writing Disney animated flicks helps.

The ratings for the Thundercats seem to have gotten better in their new timeslot.

Native Son focuses on both Lion-O and Tygra when they come across a Tiger Clan, led by Tygra's real father and already there was unforgiveness and resentment from Tygra. His origin of how he came to be adopted by Claudus and Lion-O's mother is fully revealed and the circumstances that led to his adoption. Tygra's jealousy and resentment for Lion-O was there since Lion-O was born and only a lion can succeed a lion king through bloodline. Lion-O has come across as wiser in battle since the trials yet he is still mischievous when he throws a couple of snowballs at Tygra. Also, Tygra's character flaws show that he doesn't want to admit he's wrong when it comes to finding shortcuts. None of the other Thundercats are in this episode and I was right that Mumm-Ra and his new Generals are not in this either. In the end, Tygra is perhaps the only surviving member of the Tiger Clan unless they bring in Bengali, whom I wish was in this. Good episode here.

I don't know, he's still a bit of a whiney *****e.

To be fair, Tygra did say that Lion-O doesn't "act his age."

Is he still a bit whiny? Yeah, but if you compared him to the way he was at the very beginning, he's definitely matured and wisened a bit.

Tygra was closer to Claudus than Lion-O was, but here Lion-O is closer to Tygra's real father than Tygra is. It's a reverse to Omens.

I actually teared up when Tygra told his father he forgave him.

I know that feel bro.

Good episode. I was a little disappointed Bengali didn't show up, but since all the tigers were cursed, probably would've sucked if that happened to Bengali as well.

We actually got to see the Ancient Spirits of evil and heard them as well. I hope this show goes deeper into their story. Maybe have Mumm-Ra be defeated this season or next and have the Ancient Spirits be the main baddies of the series.:woot:

This definitely was my favorite episode besides the great debut. This show has been good, but it's lacked something that makes it great. More episodes like this could help it reach its potential. It's not that the show is bad, but sometimes I watch it thinking that it could have been better. This episode I didn't feel that way.

Did I hear right in this episode, Native Son, that the Thundercats split up? Is that why Wilykit and Wilykat went off on their own during this episode?

I heard that this episode beat out the competition on saturday

I was about to give up on this show but it's getting good again. :woot:

native son is my 2nd favorite episode behind the duelist and the drifter

I really enjoyed ThunderCats this morning! I didn't care for WilyKit and WilyKat too much in the original series, but this reboot has been a huge improvement for their characters. This episode gave such good insight into their background...very well done!

This marks the first episode without Lion-O and Tygra and with so much emphasis on Lion-O, we needed a break to focus on the other characters, mainly Wilykit and Wilykat as we get the backstory on how they got to Thundera and why they want to go to the treasure city of El Dara. It turns out that they left their family after they lost their father to a tornado. Their family is still out there somewhere and more stories for the twins could open up involving their family and El Dara. Panthro and Cheetara were playing surrogate parents in this episode to the twins. Lots of backstories continued from last episode. Great episode as the second season or the second half of the first season gets better.

It will be a real shame if this show doesn't continue :( .

Loved the episode this morning.

Great episode. I've been enjoying this show's version of Wilykit and Wilykat much more so than the original show.

Wilykit and Wilykat in this show are actually pretty smart and useful despite being kid characters. It also helps that they don't sit around and whine and cry all the time. They are willing to fight and pull their own weight.

depth.

thats whats amazing about these characters. in the old show Kat and Kit were just kids who didn't grow up. no story as to why they were actual thundercats.

Here, they aren't actual thundercats, they are basically associated with them.

I hate that this EXCELLENT show is coming to an end.

Cartoon Network always ends the best shows.

First Megas XLR, then Symbionic Titan, now this.
