The thunder- thunder- THUNDERCATS HOOOOOO!-thread - Part 2

That's awesome. Thanks TVO.

I liked her character but I think the possibility of rejection towards Lion-O is highly probable like you mentioned. :funny:

Yeah I'm just saying make the running joke of the main hero just being unlucky with women and end up getting rejected by every girl he flirts with or likes. Would be hilarious.

At least now he seems to be acting like a mature adult about Tygra and Cheetara and has stopped pursuing it.

Like he's the king, he's got the sword of omens, but he can't get a date. It would sort of underscore that whole part of when he had that Leo flashback, his big moment was realizing that Panthera was his "girlfriend." When he knew he has to fight Mumm-ra he said, "I am so dead . . . but at least I've got a girlfriend!" Like that's the only way he can get lucky. In real life he can't get a date!

All is up in the sky right now, but whatever happens between Lion-O and Pumyra, one thing I doubt the writers will do is be repetitive with yet another love-triangle that will involve Lion-O loosing yet another girl to a tyger.:cwink:

I got really excited when Pumyra mentioned mount Plun-darr. I could hear the ringing of hammers, slaves working in ominous dark mines.

Can't wait to see it.

Solid episode! Ratar-O's characterization, as well as the flashbacks of Ratilla, were very well-handled! Cheetara and Tygra's scenes were indeed tender, and,.... whadaya'know; a "relationship" between Lion-O and Pumyra is being forged!!

Ratar-O was awesome. Also you might've noticed the original show producers Rankin and Bass got consulting producer credits on this episode. Ratar-O was voiced by Carlo Rota who FYI played Morris in 24. Pumyra is voiced by Pamela Adlon, Bobby Hill from King of The Hill.

Show is really hitting its stride, sad it likely will not continue.

:wow: Well slap me silly and paint me red...

LOL no it's Emmanuelle Chriqui, Sloan from Entourage.

I love Pamela Adlon. Great on Lucky Louie. Great on Californiacation.

I just saw the latest episode, Curse of Ratilla, and it's better than last week's. We have the Thundercats freeing the slaves and getting the Sword of Plundarr. We're also introduced to the rat race, led by Rataro and Mondrax as they provide the backstory between a young Jaga and their rat ancestor, Ratilla, as their fight was awesome along with the fight between Lion-O and Rataro, who has proven to be a formidable opponent. I can see Rataro joining up with Mumm-Ra's army. As Lion-O gets over his relationship with Cheetara, he is entering perhaps a potential new one with Pumyra as there's flirting between the two with Panthro caught in the middle. Lion-O has freed the cat slaves, who accept him as their king. The twins are not in this one as their story with Tookit would likely take place during this. I'd say this was a better episode than last week's.

Glad we finally found out what happened to the other Thundercats. They were sold into slavery by the lizards.

Pumyra was crushing on Lion-O big time. This is your chance to shine Lion-O. :hehe:

Lion-O and Pumyra's relationship may be more interesting than either Lion-O/ Cheetara or Tygra/ Cheetara, whom I can see be a counterpoint to. It also looks like Pumyra will join the team or else she'd go with the other freed cat slaves.

I'm really loving this Thundercats reboot! This weeks episode was excellent. I like that this cartoon doesn't shy away from death, which really make you feel that these cats have a lot at stake. I just hope Cheetara soon knocks Tygra down a peg-his smug arrogance is starting to annoy me.

I hope this gets a second season. Otherwise my 10 year old will be inconsolable...

Cartoon Network is calling the second 13 episodes the "second season."

Anything beyond that. Probably not.

I will bet you that Tygra and Cheetara's relationship may be a problem for the Thundercats when they deal with Mumm-Ra next week. Tygra's arrogance is so unlimited, which is why he may not be fit to be King of Thundera like Lion-O, who gets better as a king since his trials.

I think Tygra's arrogance is a shield to cover his insecurities and sense of inferiority.

That, too. Notice the look he gave Lion-O when Lion-O wished Cheetara luck.

According to the Thundercats Crew Blog, Pumyra is a former soldier not a medic and Jaga is really ancient. The rats were with the other animal races when Mumm-Ra's ship landed on Third Earth.
