The Tim Burton/Kevin Smith Feud

You must be twelve. Not just becuase you thought THAT line was clever. Obviously, you can't follow my (by default) advanced line of thinking, so your only response is to say "you're crazy!" or "You're wrong!"

I'll tell you a secret.... we're not crazy here. We're just smarter. Well, except for GoogleMe, who argues about as well as a box of donuts.

Any hardcore Batman fan who can think intelligently enough to accept that there's more than just one valid interpretation of the character loves the 1960s series. In all of my experience in the fandom, the only people who I've found hate it are children, or they're not much more mature than one.

But due to your arguments, it's obvious that all you know about Batman amounts to what Christopher Nolan has done and what the other fans in your age group tell you to believe. I've found that if a "fan" isn't a fan of the 60s series at least to a small degree, they really aren't classifiable as a fan at all.
sorry thats one of the best lines ive ever seen on here, props If I do say so myself!!

DLB now proceeds to blast a rabbit's already rotting corpse with a rocket launcher.

Noir is pulling in the lead with another generic Burton insult.

Based on the last line of your post one can safely conclude - according to your own logic - that you fail at being a fan because you fail at having respect for all incarnations of the character.

Being that the case I congratulate your honesty and despise your limited vision of the character. Which, btw, explain so much about this thread and what you've said in it.
I like Tim Burton's Batman, it was a good movie.. I just don't like the man himself. I don't have a limited vision of the character? I respect all interpretations of Batman be it when he was having some hijinks with bat-mite or being the gritty Dark Knight.

I merely put 2 and 2 together according to your own words. Maybe you need a moment alone to reach an agreement with yourself?

Or start an "I hate Tim Burton as a person even when I don't know the guy personally" thread instead of disguising your personal dislike as a 4 years old Smith's sour grapes act bump.

Well, I used the kevin Smith thing, because, its a good criticism of Burton.. and last time I started a Burton criticism thread it was deleted.

thanks hah I appreciate it, its hard to type on here my right hand is broken so im not able to post as much for a few weeks!:csad:

Damn that sucks, sorry to hear that dude. I wish ya a smooth recovery

Some poor impersonation and cynical B89 criticism (he said he liked it on B89 dvd features) is good criticism?

I don't want to know how this relates to your feeling of what it's a "good movie." In case you reply to this, please remember I said I didn't want to know.

and last time I started a Burton criticism thread it was deleted.

I can see dozens of reasons for it based on this very thread.

This pic makes me lol the kid is wearing bright clothes like most other kids but then has a skull and bones ski cap on. That right there tells you the kid is a Burton.

I love how mama and poppa Burton-Bonham Carter keep looking at the ground while the kid keeps his chin up and seeks a brighter day lol.

Eh. He's entitled to his opinion. Although I don't think any of his reasons to hate Burton (if there ARE any) are valid.

lol@ people thinking he hates Burton or whatever.

Burton fans need to fall back and have a laugh.

He's always seemed like kind of an *******, in the interviews I've seen him in.

He doesn't express himself well. And the few times he addresses fan reaction to his movies, wouldn't you be a little sore if you poured your heart and soul into two movies only to have SOME fans ***** about them for the rest of eternity, unable to move on from complaining about two simple movies?

Its a fact Burton cant express himself with words in interviews and such, just watch the SE's for 89 and BR, you can see right there, and his commentary is awful.

Anyone notice that he sounds like Adam Savage from Mythbusters?
