The troubles of Charlie Sheen

The reason why I don't try to qualify or quantify my statements is that I'm sure that most hypesters are intelligent enough to know that there are extreme ends of any situation and then all matter of degree of inbetweens.

If I were to take the time to qualify or quantify every post I make to the degree that satisfies the most anal posters, I'd use up the 2,000 word limit that SHH imposes on every post.

I've never had a problem reading posts and realizing the writer simplified his post and read into same post what I needed to read. If I needed clarification on a point, I've had no problem asking for clarification or Googling it. I'm sure you can do that too.

That about sums up that post.

Did you read the 17 page report? I did. She is not lying. I expirenced a sitation very similar to this. My step father was a sex crazed, porn addict who would verbally abuse my family. It took nearly 5 years for my mother to finally leave him. How isRichards not reliable? She LIVED this first hand... Her testimony is everything in this.

She is not a reliable source because she is trying to get favorable conditions in the divorce. She has things to gain by lying.

I just find is suspicious that Denise Richards has been abused for all this time yet there has never been any of the classic indicators of it.

Classic indicators?

Elaborate, please.

bruises, cuts, certain behavioral indicators, etc.

She has shown none of these signs, and they would be a bit hard to cover up in Hollywood when you are constantly being looked at under a microscope.

Matt is correct on this too. She even attempted to reconicle with Sheen during their divorce proceedings, obviously it's very unlikely that he did anything to physically harm her.

If he really did what he did, you can rest assure he'd be sitting in jail or they'd have a really good restraining order on him.

When I say restraining order I mean no phone calls, can't be in the same state as her, and so forth.

Make up and clothing could cover up any physical abuse indicators easily enough. Unless the damage is extensive enough, like missing teeth, it wouldn't be that difficult to cover up such indicators. As far as behavioural indicators go, it's not as though you or I see Denise Richards on a daily basis, so we don't know how she's changed over the years and knowing how disfunctional Hollywood society goes, a lot goes on there that gets covered up by fellow actors.

Many women often go back to cruddy men, despite bad treatment, hoping that these men will change for the better. It's not unusual for this to happen a few times even, before they leave them for good.

You are correct. But she's rich, so it's not like she'd be losing anything to leave him, you know? They have children and she could take him for everything he has.

I just don't think he really did anything to her. She's seeking a divorce and it's a way of getting sympathy of her side.

It's not always because of a lack of money that causes women to stick around. Psychological situations can be just as powerful.

I thought you were against divorce, so don't you believe couples should stay together no matter what?

in the report though it said all he did was push her and fling her bracelet of her wrist, i mean she didnt say he punched her or slapped her, if she had bruises from pushing but it was near her shoulders she could easily hide that up.

sheen is a great actor. but he has had trouble in the past hookers, gambling, drugs. so i don't know whether he's gotten back on track with that

IMO, there are only three legitimate reasons for divorce:

1. Abuse - there is no reason why anybody should have to suffer psychological or physical harm from anybody else.

2. Abandonment - if a spouse has left the marriage and will not return.

3. Addiction - if the other spouse has a drug, alcohol, or psychological addiction that they refuse to deal with.

All three reasons represent legitimate reasons for divorce. However, most people who got divorced, that I'm aware of, didn't do so because their situation was that serious. They largely did it because their marriage fell below their expectations and they weren't willing to put up with the perceived imperfections.

I should add that I also hold people responsible for the partners they pick to marry. Since marriage is such an important institution, it disgusts me when people choose to marry others after a short time and then claim ignorance about their partner's habits or behaviours or when they choose to marry a person, despite strong misgivings about their habits or behaviours and then seek divorce when they can't stand them anymore.

Allegedly. This isn't exactly some unbiased testimony. Denise Richards DOES have a motive to lie. Curious that no one has ever reported to seeing her bruised or cut. She has never shown any signs of being an abused wife. She lives in Hollywood, her husband is an A-list celebrity. In Hollywood you can't fart without people knowing. If she were being beat, we would've found out before this.

A lot of people think 9/11 is a conspiracy. Its not like he is saying that evil reptilians used holographic planes. He simply said he doesn't buy the official story. Good for him. I believe Flight 93 was shot down. Does that make me crazy?

I'm sure the judge or a psychiatrist will speak to the children. Now that will be the most unbiased testimony you get. Denise Richards isn't that reliable as they are currently in the middle of a messy divorce.

But actually a lot of hollywood beatings stay covered because the woman doesn't want to admit to having these beatings. Denise may have went through that phase.

Remember, she would have had a motive to not cover it up, the shame, the tabloids, her career. ;)

Again, did you read her report? He never beat her. It was verbal and mental abuse. There was the one incident. But, outside of that, he never hit her...according to her report. I suggest you READ, Matt, before jumping to your own conclusion.

...

Sheen said he would kill her parents, and then, her--in front of his kids. Why don't you actually read the report?

in the end I think theres one lesson we could all learn from this...

Dont publicly question our government or 9/11 :o
