I wasn't horrendously offended by Mudflap and Skids, they just SUCKED. They didn't do anything important except their stupid minstrel routine. That was more offensive to me, they weren't ACTUAL characters.

The problem is that the Twins go above and beyond just the whole ghetto behavior and lifestyle choice. Being stupid and illiterate is more than just a lifestyle choice.

Explain to me how this makes them in any way racist.

I'm sure there are people that perhaps talk or act in a similar fashion, but that DOES NOT mean its not a negative stereotyping characterization.

I know gay people that actually embrace what many would call the stereotypical gay lifestyle.

Self-hating jewish people is a negative stereotype. But I still know self-hating jews and that's the truth.

1. They are squat, almost chubby and round looking alien robots. Their lips match their overall design.

2. Go look at the average caricature of a black person. The "exaggerated facial features" on these robots don't even compare to those, or to the average "blackface look" or caricature of a black person.

Get this guard. In my heart of hearts, I agree with Devin. I truly believe Bay did not have a malicious intent with these characters. I believe that. I think its just his Bay-vision. He didn't see the problem with them much like Lucas with Jar Jar. But he went through with it anyway. Sometimes we say **** that's bad and wrong without realizing how those words can truly be damaging or hurt someone.

The problem with Jar Jar isn't that he was racist. The problem with Jar Jar is that he was a stupid, pointless, pandering character that took the tone of an otherwise relatively serious movie and shat on it. I suspect that's the worst thing about the Twins, not any overt racism.

Before you start making judgements on what I or others can wrap our heads around let it be known that I've lived in the Bay Area my entire life. I lived in Oakland, California for 6 years and currently live in Berkeley.

Race is something I completely understand. I've lived through these complicated social issues that go beyond a particular color.

This is someone who has plenty of black friends and has learned the front and back of all the social problems within the black community which isn't just a "black" issue, it extends to everyone of all hues and color.

I'm so amazed that some think they are championing on the side of African Americans when they've practically compared all blacks with the Twins. People need to learn to differentiate an entire race of people with a sub group which doesn't represent all of the black community.
