He loses because deep down, he knows he shouldn't win.

Yeah but what if he doesn't feel like losing? Thanos has gone against a ton of Superman type, godlike beings and beat them easily. Thanos rising comes to mind and that was when he was just coming into his power. Isn't Thanos Superman strength or quite possibly stronger himself?

Thanos is described as being ultra-intelligent and smarter than any being on Earth, which includes Richards, Doom, Stark, etc. He's also much stronger than Superman since Gladiator is Marvel's version of Supes, and Thanos spanks him in Infinity Revelation. His fighting is also higher developed since he has studied all fighting styles in the galaxy and is very reactionary based on the situation. Check this out for further details.

Anyways, Thanos wins this hands down.

I agree. Thanos wins this and it ain't even close. He's gone up against the Elders in the 616 and only lost because he wanted to. Sorry but he ain't losing no time soon.

Let's take a look at what majestic can do/has done

During issue #1 of Mr. Majestic, he moves around the solar system and performs a variety of feats. Aside from moving around planets, Majestic uses his eye-beams to change the chemical composition of Jupiter, catches a comet and adds it as another planet to the solar system, and spends weeks in the center of the sun. Before he leaves he does something involving ancient rituals and secret equations to become one with the cosmos. It only takes moment, but in that time he’s able to alter reality to create a brand new sun.

After a ship the size of a mountain crashes on Earth, he picks it up and flies it to Pluto in under two hours. Majestic moved a literal mountain-sized object at multiples of light speed.

Durability
In Savant Garde, Majestic and Savant are sent to an Earth heavy in magic users. He shows some major magical resistance here, ignoring powerful magical blasts being thrown at him. He even gets turned to stone and has turned himself back to normal by the next page.

In the same issue( Majestic #1: Cosmology) he flies (under his own power) out of the Milky Way Galaxy and back to Earth in less than a year, which puts him somewhere around a few thousand times faster than light.

He also traveled from Earth to Saturn in less time than it took one of his enemies to utter a sentence.

At one point, Majestic is transported to the DC Universe. In Metropolis, he flies into a diner for some coffee and realizes he has no money. To pay for his drink, he crushes a pencil into diamonds.

When Majestic and the WildC.A.T.s were being attacked by a shape-shifting building, he scans it on a molecular level and decides he needs to go build something. On the very next page, he's returned. He's researched and built a brand new piece of technology almost instantly.

When attacked by an upgraded Eradicator later on(while he's in the DC Universe) Majestic uses his laser vision to manipulate photons in order to reprogram Eradicator in mere moments. In addition to super strength, super speed, super intelligence, multi-purpose laser vision, and energy/matter manipulation powers,

Enhances Senses/Vision Powers
Majestic also has super senses. He uses his eyesight to detect the radiation of an active nuclear warhead. When sent to the DCU, he smells the difference between dimensions. He also uses his sense of smell to detect the difference in the atomic structure of matter and also measure the disturbance in causality and the way time flows. That’s four dimensional senses. He is also able to see the Kirlian auras (life force) of the people around him. One of the greatest examples of his durability was when he stood at the center of an explosion that destroyed Earth and orbiting matter (the moon), and surviv

I'm abstaining from voting this round, but IMO whoever wins no-one is going down easily.

We agree to disagree. Thanos is that dude! He's like a cosmic version of Dr. Doom. Has Mr. Magestic gone up against his universes deities? Multiple ones at that at once.

He became one with his universes gods the Universals. Besides if we all agreed this place would be boring as hell.

Anyway with Duke's vote Mr Majestic does what many believed impossible, and defeats the mad titan 4-3 as the two bend space and time in there reality warping brawl across multiple cosmos.

Leaning towards Despero. Yeah, I'm going Despero.

Definetly going Despero. Without a powerhouse like Jean Gray or Iceman, I just don't see how they can pull this off, unless they have some insanely bad writing.

Despero. With a different mix of X-Men it would go differently.

I'm going Despero as well, Emma helps make it interesting, but ultimately, they'd fall IMO. I just see Despero turning Colossus on the others and then just killing him afterwards.

Colossus, Beast, and Kitty wouldn't be much of a threat. Emma might be able to match Despero's telepathy somewhat, but I doubt she's quite at his level. I would believe that Scott and Logan could feasibly have decent amounts of resistance to telepathy due to various factors (Scott's been surrounded by powerful psychics since his childhood, and Logan's mind is sometimes shielded from mental powers for some reason), but neither can really do much to Despero offensively. If the X-Men want a chance to win, they'd have to be creative, but odds are, they won't.

If you guys want, I can add another character to the X-Men line up, I was just trying to find a team that didn't have Jean, Charles, Psylocke, and Emma, Or however many other telepaths the X-Men have had over the years.

It would be funny to watch Colossus hurl Wolverine to his doom.

Despero decimates the X-Men 5-1

vs

Mephisto

The fight takes place on a neutral plane

Mephisto, the way Fates have been dying for years now it seems like they can't even survive a battle let alone win one.
