I bet there are actually people who believe that, too. Ugh, I need something even facepalmier than the Picard facepalm.

I do not think there is anything facepalmier

and who is going to hear the case??....you'll get some good ol' boy Mississippi judge who will throw it out

the deck is stacked in that state...I say we just fence it off

I am sure there are plenty of nice open minded people in that state as well

And I am sure there are some decent judges as well

If the legal system can manage to keep the bigotry of Californians at bay by upholding that judge's overturning of Prop 8, there's gotta be some hope for Mississippi yet...

Well, that website is clearly giving it some broader recognition, at least. Maybe something good will come of that. But you're right, even if that one issue is cleared up, the level of bigotry that allows that to happen in the first place is not gonna change overnight or probably anytime soon.

Which ones? I tended to watch The Practice and Boston Legal, both of which were set in the northeast. :oldrazz:

While I wouldn't rule out open-minded people existing in the state, the role of judge doest rest a great deal more than most in internal selection, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if things were exactly as BL says.

I hope not Hound

I try to stay as optimistic as I can about these things

I'm in favour of George Carlin's State Prison Camps idea... I'm sure with every passing day the possibility of being able to balance the budget just makes it more enticing...

I'm sure the more rural areas are like that

I wouldn't limit to just rural either.

The selection process lends itself to a more regressive approach to ensure the values of the status quo are upheld. Anecdotal stuff I've heard from people working in the field, mind.

Also about as many paedophiles as you'll find outside the church and teaching...

same here....one of my really good friends in the service was a kid from Missouri, illegitimate son of a circuit court judge, kid was mixed, "his honor" was white, married with 4 other kids, mom was black/native american, worked as a paralegal in another law office

basically got told he was going into the service to get him out because people were getting close to finding out who he was

I figure pedos are everywhere. I mean, the only thing that keeps people from marrying 13-year-old girls in the first place is societal changes in the past couple hundred years.

Yenaled just led me to an article where Justin Bieber is rumored to star in a Back to the Future remake...

I think FunnyOrDie is trying to just put him everywhere, totally as a joke though....I find it funny

i dont listen to the radio much anymore so I really only know him by the occasional story I see on Gawker or the videos he does on FunnyOrDie

Saw Expendables now. It was pretty good movie, loved seeing Jet Li, Statham (he stole the show) and Stallone kicking ass. Terry Crews being in a good movie for a change was great too!

I'm not just talking opposite gender either, Corp.

And many of these people are political and religious conservatives. To steal another Carlin bit "When Jesus said 'Suffer the little children, come unto me.' that's not what he was talking about."

Haha, yeah, well, that seems to be the main thing. Same principle as Catholic girls becoming the wildest freaks in the sack or chronic overeaters who try to stop altogether and then binge like crazy, I guess. The more you repress something, the harder you fall if you ever actually do lose control.
