This thread is for everyone to express their opinions on what movies should NEVER be remade, under ANY circumstance. My picks:

The Godfather Trilogy
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Some Like It Hot, and ALL Billy Wilder films
Schindler's List
The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
Jaws
Close Encounters of the Third Kind

How about you guys?

i would watch a Jaws remake. although i'll admit i'm not a big fan of the original. i thought it was way boring. the shark did kick some major ass, though, and it is the reason i won't swim in the ocean, or a lake... or a dark pool :(

in my opinion, movie that can't be remade are movies who's actors MADE their roles what they were.

it'd be like making a Friends movie with none of the friends... for lack of a better example.

The Terminator and T2. That would be god awfully stupid. They could redo T3 though.

Adventures in Babysitting

Alien movies

1 and 2 shouldnt be touched and while i feel alien 3 was a respectable addition, remaking it may be the key to more good films.

Schindler's List. That is cimima perfection right there.

Clash Of The Titans
I thought that was in the works?

I'll add to the list the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Star Wars.

They should remake Maltese Falcon with an all rapper cast.

I just got an idea, "Dawg Day Afternoon". Real gangstas, Fitty Cent, P. Diddy, Jay-Z, it's genious!

Casablanca, Citizen Kane...Dawn Of The Dead (too late)

The Evil dead franchise became a sucess because of two things: Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell.

Sure you can have a movie about the book of the dead, but it won't an Evil Dead movie. Bruce Campbell was Ash, and Ash was the movies. It's one of the rare horror/comedy franchises that really rely on the main actor than anything else.

i can see all these films being remade, especially the wizard of oz before i die....

Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, starring Ben Affleck & Matt Damon

Donnie Darko, Edward Scissorhands. I was gonna say The Nightmare Before Christmas but we all know it's coming out in 3D this October. Basically any of Tim Burton's movies can't, at least his classics.

I can't see anyone remaking Fight Club anytime soon, so I wouldn't worry. Also, its so sleek and timeless, why remake it?

I can't see Ghostbuster being remade since it was the ACTORS who made what it is now. Thank Bill Murray, Akroyd, and company for that, not just the script.

this threads making me very depressed just thinking how a new evil dead movie is going to sooo suck without bruce campbell, it's actually got me realy sad
