The Vladimir Putin Discussion Thread

The world has gone insane I feel like...

It's been insane for millennia.

The ability for us to see the scale of it is increased cause of technology allowing us to see it more easily and more often across all of the globe is one key difference to the past era's of insanity.

What was sad is they interviewed a lady who works for Russia Today in the U.S. That's a TV channel funded by the Russian government but she is exposed to U.S. media obviously...and she still believes everything the Russian government tells her despite all kinds of evidence that they are brainwashing their people.
And the US media doesn't brainwash it's people?

No, they're an echo chamber not a brainwashing machine.

Is it true that Putin's sending in Spetznatz to deal with ISIS and other people rebelling against Assad's regime?

Officially they are there as "consultants and advisors".:o

Both the US and Iran also have have those in Iraq in acting in the same capacity, or so they claims.:whatever:

These gentleman on Bookface were under the impression that Sharia Law is somehow being instituted here in America. I did not get that memo

in some places in Western Europe where the area is majority Muslim Sharia is in place in all but name. There are places where the cops don't go so those people's fear that that can happen in the US???

There was Danish housing building that the moment it became 51% Muslim Christmas trees and symbols but voted down from being put up.

herakles is not a fan of "factual information" he saw a meme on Bookface so of course it's true because it re-enforces what FAUX news told him

There are places in the US cops avoid and it has nothing to do with religion. I'm only talking from experience traveling through Germany, Belgium, and Netherlands and problem all over Europe with refugees is that they don't integrate like they do in America.

Some European countries have a very strong social welfare program that rewards no work and a tax system that is easily bypassed with under the table cash-only work. This allows immigrant families to get monthly welfare checks, free healthcare, and work for cash without any need to go to school. Since citizens don't get along with refugees anyways, they go to special schools where opportunities are slim.

The education system in a lot of European countries are more catered for young adults, not adults going back to school. You can't become a doctor in your 30's in Europe, you either passed the entrance examination when you were younger, or you didn't. There's no 2nd attempts. In America, nobody can judge whether you are too old, or too young, or your grades are not at the top 1% for your to get admitted into university or grad school.

So Turkey shot down a Russian jet and then shot down the rescue Helicopter? Oh bother.

Turkey shot down a jet that violated Turkish airspace and was warned repeatedly and it was Syrian rebels that downed the rescue copter.

In other words everyone involved was stupid.

Just as it seemed the world found a common enemy in ISIS somebody had to go **** it up.

In other words everyone involved was stupid.

How was Turkey stupid in this? Russia has repeatedly violated their sovereignty. And Russia is the power that was attacking the Syrian rebels beyond just ISIL. So really... it's just Russia being stupid.

And Obama, by not taking charge of this crisis early on, he's allowed Putin to become emboldened.

And Obama, by not taking charge of this crisis early on, he's allowed Putin to become emboldened.
To be fair to Obama, it's very difficult for him to develop an effective response to Putin's aggression. To counter Russia, he needs a coordinated response with the EU and they've been far too timid to do anything effective because they're too dependent on Russian oil and gas.

The big thing I will criticize Obama is that his ignorant environmental agenda is getting in the way of his foreign policy. He's too ideologically beholden to the environmental movement in order to develop an effective response against Russia. The best way to allow the EU to grow some balls against Russia would be to allow the United States to sell its oil and gas to other countries. We have too much of it and it would give the EU a new source of energy beyond just Russia. The oil industry and the GOP have been trying to get this off the ground, but the Greens stupidly refuse to allow this common sense move.

The Turks warned the Su-24 ten times in the span of 5 minutes. Turkey has repeatedly protested against Russian incursions into internationally recognized Turkish airspace over the last two months.

The Russian airmen ejected, and were then either killed or captured by Syrian Turkmen (Syrians who are ethnically Turkic) rebels on the ground.

A Russian rescue team was sent in. One of the rescue team's helicopters was damaged by the rebels, and one Russian marine killed. The rebels then apparently destroyed the abandoned helicopter with an American-made TOW missile.

Russian jet hit inside Syria after incursion into Turkey: U.S. official
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States believes that the Russian jet shot down by Turkey on Tuesday was hit inside Syrian airspace after a brief incursion into Turkish airspace, a U.S. official told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The official said that assessment was based on detection of the heat signature of the jet.
There you have it folks. Most recent news. Gonna be fun watching this escalate.

The Turk government are ISIS apologists. Their actions says more. Like the way they treated the Kurds. Be it bombing them, or offering no support when they were cornered at the Syrian/Turkey border. They buy oil from ISIS in the tune of a (probably) billion. The forged passports were probably from Turkey too. It's not new news that certain interest groups in Turkey and Saudi Arabia are financially helping ISIS.
