The Western Movie Tournament Thread.

I will select any and all films that relate to the word western be they classics or made for tv westerns.
I simply enjoyed all types of westerns. I mean as a child i knew who Eastwood, Duke and Cooper was before who the President was.
I also think westerns are missed and liked to see more big stars do them.

Awe no i agree its not the best ever its not on my top 10 westerns list either. But it had Gary Cooper and deserved a spot somewhere.

I'll go with the Wild Bunch, but it's a tough choice.

Both should have faced an easier first round matchup.

For round one, I would have to say HIGH NOON, because although GUNFIGHT is a good movie, they got so much of the actual history wrong it really hurts it for me.


For round two....absolutely love them both.....hard to compare a movie with a miniseries, but I have to go for LONESOME DOVE.

The Django movies were a series of Spagatti westerns with several different actors going under the title name of Django. If I remember correctly, the original one starring Franco Nero was a hit....and then many movies (some filmed under different titles and the star being called something different while filming) had their titles changed and in the dubbing process changed the main characters name over to Django.
