The unicorn thing is still completely mental.

For a game that supposedly recorded 16 hours worth of motion capture for sex scenes, looks like they just used the same animation for the scenes over and over again just like the second game.

Because of the books. She can be a pain, but she isn't high maintenance.

And they didn't record 16 hours of sex scenes. That quote was taken out of context.

Yennefer isn't really high maintenance. I wouldn't use that term to describe her.

I mean, she kinda likes the finer things in life, but I always felt that had more to do with her being a mage, which is essentially like the celebrities of the Witcher universe. And it's nice a contrast to Geralt's wanderer, scraping by killing monsters lifestyle. She's got an edge, and makes Triss look like a teenager by comparison. She can sometimes be a ball buster, and has a temper. I think her relationship with Geralt can sometimes bring out the worse in her, where she'll sometimes say things just to get a rise out of him.

I've only read up until the last new book that's been translated in english, but I do remember her being pissed off about Geralt and Triss. I think the only reason it wasn't a bigger deal was because it happened when they were separated, so he didn't actually cheat on her.

I'll definitely be torn in-game between Yen and Yen. I mean, Yen is Yen, but by the same token, Triss is Triss.

Haha. My first play through I'll focus on Triss primarily because that'll contine what I had started in Assassins of Kings, but there's gonna be a play through or 2 where he's not quite as 'loyal'

On Metacritic why does the X1 (& pc) version of this have no reviews? Anyone know?

I am guessing because reviewers prioritize the version for the system most people have.

I'm sure that didn't used to happen though. And prioritise surely doesn't mean absolute zero for the other platforms even as the games is about to release. Doesn't really matter I guess as most just want to see how the game is.

Because the only review copies that were sent out were on the PS4. No Xbox One or PC versions were sent out for review.

Well PS4 is the more powerful console. It makes sense that the studio and devs would want the reviews of the console version based on the PS4 version.

in that case, they would have gave the PC version since it is the most powerful platform and is where the series got its roots. In any case, I dont see why they only gave one out. They were made simultaneously and the game has been gold for quite some time

The PC version isn't a console version so they wouldn't send it out if they just want a console version reviewed.

I may be wrong but this game will probably sell more on the PS4 than the PC and the XB1. The PC specs required to play this game aren't the most forgiving. I expect most people to choose a console version and since there were more PS4 consoles sold than XB1 that is the console version that will likely sell the most units.

This could be why they only sent the PS4 version out.

I read somewhere that the XB1 had more digital copies sold so far. Doesn't mean most copies period. Just most digital.. Which is interesting since everyone originally *****ed about the Xbox being so digital heavy and DRM...

I think there are two reasons.

1. The PS4 version was the most stable when they sent out their copies.

2. They are making a console push, so if the PC version looks much better, they probably wanted to avoid it being so obvious.

Probably goes back to the Witcher 2 actually being released on the 360.

Yea the store I work at has more reserves on the X1 version than we do the P4, by about 15 units. And my store does more playstation than we do any other console.

I also think ima pick up the CE strat guide. I have no intention of using it, but I want all the art and stuff it comes with.
