What do you think is the worst moment in comic book history?
The moment that made you want to scream in frustration and burn your comic book collection. And why?
Maybe it was The death of Steve Rogers? One More Day? Perhaps even the return of Jason Todd?
For me it's gotta be Peter Parker publicly revealing his secret identity... As if PETER PARKER The most responsible man in comic book history would EVER do that! Would ever do something as incredibly, y'know... IRRESPONSIBLE! As if he wouldnt be smart enough to properly appreciate the implications of this and that this would make him public enemy no.1 for only EVERY freakin' supervillain in the Marvel Universe... And then he acts like it's some huge suprise when Aunt May is shot!
Yep, this for me is the worst moment in comic book history, when they crossed the point of no return, the day the Spider-Man we know and love died. Spider-Man: One More Day was just the sound of the life support machine flatlining...

Crisis on Infinite Earths, when they got rid of the multiverse and fused everything into one universe. It was the beginning of the end of my reading DC.

Haven't read it, but Stephen Colbert being elected President of the Marvel Universe's United States of America (the MUUSA, if you will), just smacks of product placement.

This is more just a worst moment in comic book management history but...

The mishandling of Supreme Power and also the mishandling of Newuniversal.

Good job there Marvel.

Marvel Knights 4 - Reed Richards working tech support.

Well I didn't want to set anything on fire, but ORIGIN frustrates me no end. You just shouldn't tell all of Wolverine's origin.

Barack Obama is President-elect of Marvel Universe USA, sir.

Robin OYL, personally.

But as a comic book reader, OMD.

The day Ron Marz raped the legacy of Hal Jordan by making him go bat**** crazy and kill Kilowog.

The whole Parallax storyline. I liked it at first when I thought that they were going to use it to reboot the multiverse and return everything to pre-crisis

Also in the old Worst Moments thread from forever ago I thought Zev made a really convincing case for Reed rescuing Galactus from death back in FF whatever number it was being pretty jaw-droppingly stupid. I mean bear in mind that this story was done well prior to any indication of Galactus being like, a universal constant and him dying will endanger reality etc. etc., so none of that applies. It was pretty much just Reed Richards saying "let's go out of our way to save the multiple-xenocide murderer, because it's the right thing to do."

Super*****-Prime beating the Golden Age Superman to death in Infinite Crisis.

A complete and total travesty.

Really pretty much everything from the Retcon Punch onwards, but especially that, yeah.

Anyone who thinks that Steve Rogers' death was the worst moment in comics history is out of their freakin mind. That book is currently better than it has been in decades.

Jeph Loeb writing Ultimates 3, Hulk, and Ultimatum.

Definately agree on Ultimates 3. He was just a terrible replacement for Millar, I have no idea what the **** Marvel was thinking.

The other two, I'm iffy on.

Spider-Man selling his marriage to Satan (I know, I know, Mephisto or whatever) is still pretty mind-bogglingly stupid.

No single comic book has ever frustrated me more than the final issue of OMD did when it came out.

If there was a poll, One More Day would overkill
