Oh I see how it is, Darth. Run some respectable awards, get the indie crowd on your side. Undermine my hosting authority. Somebody's going to get a Dick of the Year vote:whatever: :cmad: :csad:

Best Comic of 2006 - The Astonishing X-Men

Most Dramatic Moment of 2006 - SHIELD crashes Luke Cage's apt as Jessica & baby flee to Canada, New Avengers #twenty-something
Funniest Moment of 2006 - Yeahbuhwhat?
Breakout Writer of 2006 - ???
Breakout Artist of 2006 - Ladronn (Hulk covers)
Breakout Comic Book of 2006 - The Incredible Hulk
Best Hero of 2006 - Superman (I'm serious)
Best Villain of 2006 - Everything is so blurry these days, I don't want to vote anyone from Civil War, and DC didn't do a great job with Lex this year, in OYL nor 52...I don't read Annihilation, so Annihilus is out, and Astonishing had Cassandra Nova's miniscule consciousness rather than purely Emma...many ambiguous threats this year. I almost want to go with the Joker for his mere single issue of Detective, but that's not enough. Two-Face puttered out with a goddamn tiger heist or some lame crap during OYL. I'm reading Fables in trades so I still don't know The Adversary's identity (I've only read 5 trades)...so to me, it's like there've been no good villains this year! I will go with, ugh, The Red King from Planet Hulk. At least he's well-defined as evil, and has been in a whole arc of a story.

wow, have we not done this in years past? maybe I just never noticed

anyway, can anyone think of any quality control measure so this isn't simply a popularity contest?

I think we've had variations of it throughtout the years like your top 5 Marvel books thread.

Either way, I had planned on allowing 3 ranked choices for each category, each rank being worth a point and such, example First place 3 points, Second place 2 points, 3rd place 1 point, and then tally points like that and get a clear winner. CConn said it was stupid.:csad:

Though so far, we've had some varied choices.

well now, honey, I've spoken with CConn's mother, and she says he still wets the bed. So next time he calls you or something you do stupid, feel free to use that. I makes great playground teasing. Also, kick him in the balls and run.

In any case, that system works as well any, if you want to coordinate it. Wouldn't want to do something pretentious like have a panal of qualified judges, which would technically be the best way, but the masses do love their democracy

Democracy is dumb:down: Well at this point, might as well stick with what we have, implement the new system next year.

can this at least be round one for nominations?
