The Worst TV Characters

I like The Blacklist, but I think the lead actress in that is pretty terrible.

How about every character on The Blacklist that ISN'T James Spader. Liz is terrible, her partner (forget his name) is like a block of wood that does nothing but state the obvious or ask questions that everyone paying attention already has the answers to, and Harry Lennix is wasted in a generic "top cop" role. And the villains of the week remind me of lame versions of comic book bad guys.

I haven't seen Taxi Brooklyn. But just from seeing the clips of the show on the soup has me convinced that all of the characters on that show are horrible.

I thought Taxi Brooklyn was fun but the the characters were caricatures.

I think Gemma was a good character until maybe season six (definitely seven) when her husband (show creator Kurt Sutter) decided to make her the centerpiece of every episode.

That's a good damn point, she was bearable til season 6.

I never could stand Bela Talbot in Supernatural, even though Lauren Cohan is better as Maggie. Bela was a wannabe hunter and just a lackie for Lililth.

This character is the start of the reason why the fandom/fangirls doesn't like female characters, mostly it's because of this one.

Ray Palmer on Arrow is really starting to get on my nerves. He's basically just a D-List Tony Stark with a fragment of the charm and depth of character. I don't give a crap that he hooked up with Felicity; I just don't find him interesting. Not sure if it's Routh, the writing or both. But Arrow has been bad all around this year. Even Oliver is acting like a f***ing idiot.

Someone mentioned 'Lost.' Nikki and Paulo are obvious (although they never irked me as much as they did others and they at least had a good send-off episode). I really hated Michelle Rodriquez's scowling "tough girl" cliche Ana Lucia on 'Lost.' But then I hate all her characters, because they're always in that mold. She has no range.

I wasn't a fan of Ben's daughter Alex either.

And Claire (Clare?) was just boring. You somehow have only one Aussie survivor on this 747 departing Sydney and you make her the most dull character on the show. She went from "can't move 'cuz I'm pregnant girl" to "now I'm burdened with a baby girl." The writers never knew what to do with her which is why they inexplicably hid her away for a season and a half.

Haha yeah they really didn't know what to do with Claire and it was pretty dumb that she was the only Aussie on the show.

And Ana Lucia was pretty much just Michelle Rodriguez doing what she does in everything else, yeah. I do like her but I have to admit that she has no range at all.

They wanted Ted Kord, but weren't allowed. I think the character is suffering because they're essentially writing for another.

But yeah this season is lacking overall.

Lana from Smallville set the bar so high for a crappy character that I can handle pretty much anything now.

But since I don't hit girls, I'd take my frustration out on Sheldon Cooper.

Ray Palmer was absent for 3 episodes before last week's, which he was in for less than 10 mins. And I found Routh to be the highlight of season 3 but his character would’ve blended much better in The Flash’s more lighthearted and dynamic setting instead of the more grim and murky of Arrow’s.

The ending of Parks and Recreation reminded me of one of the worst TV characters that show has ever had:

And they replaced him with these two:

Bwahaha it sounds like the creators hated him as much as everyone else. From the character's Wikipedia page (money quote is bolded).

Departure:

It was announced in March 2010 that Schneider would leave Parks and Recreation at the end of the second season. Schur claimed the decision was a combination of the original conception of the character switching between the government and the private sector, as well as Schneider's increasing success in such independent films as Bright Star. In the initial announcement, Schur claimed that both the producers and Schneider were interested in having Schneider return for guest appearances in the future, including in season three.[14][15][17] Schur said at the time, "He's going to remain in the world of the show in a way that not only allows but hopefully demands that he'll reenter it. He's not going to be killed in some weird accident."[17]

Despite Schur's statements, Schneider never made a return appearance on Parks and Recreation, and the show made absolutely no reference to Mark Brendanawicz after Schneider's departure. Even during season 6, when Ann Perkins extensively reminisced about her past romances (including her time living with Andy Dwyer and unhappily dating Tom Haverford), she never once mentioned Mark—even though they dated for almost all of season 2. As well, although virtually every major and minor supporting character that ever appeared on Parks and Recreation made at least a cameo appearance in season 7, Mark was not one of them, nor was he shown in any clips in a flashback montage during the series' final episode. Shortly before the series finale, Schneider stated that he was not interested in returning to the show, and had never been contacted about it.[20]
:lmao:

I really don't like Cole from Supernatural, one of the worst of the new characters on the show. The guy is a typical hater and doesn't learn from his mistakes.

Also, he is useless and doesn't add to the story or the show.

Barbara from Gotham. I almost become nervous when she appears on screen because I'm wondering how badly she'll pull the episode down. Renee Montoya from the same show is an honorable mention.

Moriarty from Sherlock. Every time that guy opened his mouth was sheer agony.

Moriarty is such a polarizing one. People either love him or that hate him. I've gone back and forth with it... I loved the build-up to him but once he was revealed, I was like, "SERIOUSLY?!!" Once he launches his ultimate plan and tries to destroy Sherlock I felt like he got better. But I was hoping the whole time that he was just a pawn and Mycroft was the real Moriarty because he looks and acts the way I always envisioned Moriarty being.

However, I've met a lot of people who think that version of Moriarty is amazing and the best thing ever. I don't know. I prefer Moriarty to be cold and calculating and not just a poor man's Joker.

Magnussen was such a better villain.

I really hate Charlotte Grayson from Revenge. She is the main reason why I stopped watching the show.

She is the typical, spoiled whiney brat, who wants to be her mother so badly that she bullies Jack and other people, who care about her.

Ross from Friends.
Marnie on Girls.
Jonathan Groff on Looking.

Agreed on all of these. The writing behind Moriarty is great, the actor is just reeeeally trying to do the Heath ledger joker thing and he just isn't executing it well. Magnussen was great. I did really like the Imaginary Moriarty in sherlock's mind palace in season 3, though. I think the actor plays a good psychopath, but when he has to flip flop between snarky eccentric genius and vicious pyschopath it's really jarring. He doesn't have the range.

Phoebe from Friends. I Can't stand this character! Don't get me wrong, Lisa Cudrow is great in the role, but THE CHARACTER I HATE! In real life a person like Phoebe i will probably murder.

I can totally see why Moriarty rubs people the wrong way, he certainly did me at first. I never thought I'd like the guy, but after a while he grew on me and now I really like that version. I wouldn't say he's trying to do Ledger's Joker though, Moriarty's a bit less manic and speaks (strangely enough) with a lot more humor in his tone.

Ross from Friends.

Good one! At it's peak I really liked Friends (can't stand it now) but Ross always annoyed me.

That stupid kid on The Slap who seriously needs a haircut.

In fact, that little brat makes me wish the show was called THE PUNCH, because someone really should have decked him into oblivion in the premiere.

I never liked Charles Mead from The Secret Circle.

- He was responsible for killing Cassie's mother because he hated John Blackwell so much.

- He rejects Diana because of his hate for John Blackwell, since he cannot let it go.

- Teaming up with Faye's mum to peruse their own selfish and stupid desires.
