IWGP Intercontinental Championship Match is next. La Sombra vs Shinsuke Nakamura. This should be great.

La Sombra with possibly one of the best pro wrestling spots of the year so far! Holy crap!! This match has been all kinds of great.

Back from intermission with an 8-Man Tag. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jyushin Thunder Liger, Tougi Makabe, and Captain New Japan vs the Bullet Club of Karl Anderson, El Terrible, Bad Luck Fale, and Tama Tonga. This should be a lot of fun! Especially seeing Captain New Japan get the hell kicked out of him. :hehe:

Mickie and Gail's segment and the match between Aries and Roode were the highlights of Impact for me, I am really curious as to what this losing streak is going to mean for Roode as I imagine there must be a pay-off.

The triple threat matches to decide who goes into the X Division title Ultimate X match were just not my type of thing, way too choreographed, and I honestly don't see the point in starting off a new era of the title with any of the the 3 guys that made it to the match, none of them have anything that makes them stand out.

The whole MEM vs Aces & Eights stuff just reeks of Russorific booking, garbage warfare at it's worst, not to mentioned how totally outclassed Aces & Eights look when you look at the members of the two factions, it's like the NWO vs the BWO.

The build up to Sabin vs Bully throughout the night was well done, it laid out Sabin's story well and I liked the backstage segment with him and Aries. However the match was a mess and it wasn't a glorious moment for the guy with the sob story, it was a mid card guy being used as a pawn in the Aces & Eights vs MEM angle, his win was about the MEM getting one over on the heels, not about crowning a new top star.

Pretty much agreed on everything here. I wasn't as harsh as you were on the Sabin/Bully match, but I definitely see your point. I would have preferred it if MEM kept the A&8's from even showing up at ring side by beating them backstage or showing up without a confrontation. Sabin's win could have been booked better in that sense (along with not using the hammer) but I gave it a pass because of how well he was built up throughout the night and for his story. Hopefully he is built to look strong in the upcoming weeks before he drops the title and Sabin steps up his game on the mic.

One thing is for damn sure, I am ready for the whole Aces and Eights storyline to be done! It started off with so much potential when they first showed up and now it's just pathetic. They have a weak crew with no name value, and the new guys in the group have little talent to get themselves over. TNA take a cue from WWE and The Shield on how to get a new faction with debuting names over!

Unfortunately this whole thing is going to be drug out to BFG. The sad part is Bully's talents are being completely wasted because they are having him focus on feuding with Hogan. Due to that there is no strong build or challenger for him at BFG other than Hogan.

AJ should have been that slow build to Bully at BFG. Even if that match still happens, which with TNA's booking you'll never know, it will not be as strong or climatic as it could have been.

Just a mess all around.

With the way TNA's been booked, they'd be better off having Sabin drop the title to Aries, who Sabin has a seed of history with now, and letting him carry it to BFG to wrestle AJ.

Really fun tag match. Kind of wish it was earlier on the card, but oh well. Now for the FIGHT I paid $20 to see: Hirooki Goto vs Katsuyori Shibata!!

Shibata looks like he's coming out to straight up murder someone. To quote Kevin Smith quoting Jon Peters: "he's got the eyes of violent, caged animal! Of a ****ing killer!"

Another draw. Eh, flat finish to an otherwise really excellent match. Just a stiff, hate-filled fight. A pro wrestling match with MMA elements that's done right right. Co-main event is Kazushi Sakuraba making his return from injury against Yuji Nagata! This should be great.

Very good match. A nice comeback win for Sakuraba and an all-around nice shoot-style match. Main event baby! Kazuchika Okada vs Prince Devitt for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

What a Tombstone into a Double Stomp onto a chair by Devitt.

I really wish that match was longer, but an awesome main event to end an awesome show. NJPW once again proved why they're leaps and bounds over every other promotion right now.

Oh and I think Goto or Shibata will win G1. Just sayin'. ;)

Unlike with WWE, I think if New Japan was to ever embark on a global tour, it would do extremely well in Brazil, a country in which was an abject failure for the WWE.

TheNextNolan22 has provided some good commentary on this PPV. Kinda makes me want to check it out.

NJPW is pretty much almost everything you can ask for in a wrestling product. They really deserve your money. :)

I agree,I don't see much of them anymore except once a month or two on youtube But it is indeed Awesome with a capital A!!

Yeah, their recent show should come out in a few days on Youtube.

I really enjoy NJPW. It makes me wish a Japanese wrestler will finally become WWE champion.

That would be awesome But right now I just wish WWE would push Yoshi Tatsu at least on Smackdown's mid-cards
