Wasn't that whole thing in response to Henry whipping him the week before? I may be remembering it wrong, but I remember thinking at the time that people were making a big deal out of something that was just part of a normal wrestling storyline.

It was...regardless, in my opinion, it wasn't one of WWE's brightest moments to place a Black man in a storyline that would culminate in a strap match. I cringed at the entire angle.
