The Wrestling Thread is a Figment of Its Own Imagination

People used to throw cups of beer at wrestlers and not get kicked out. These days just chanting for a wrestler who still technically works for the company gets you thrown out.

The fans getting ejected by WWE for chanting Punk is false

Well, I might be in the minority.

If Punk walked out then he should stay gone. IMO it is sort of a slap in the face to the other wrestlers who work just as hard. He seems somewhat selfish to me as it seems that unless he is in the spotlight he throws a fit.

Chris Hero released. Can't make AJ an offer. Punk unhappy.

JTG?

it doesn't matter what fans chant if they already paid for their tickets. WWE doesn't have to change if they're still making money off fans like us

These guys were probably drunk or something. If they legitimately kicked out fans for chanting Punk there needs to be a crap storm headed there way. Imagine paying 100.00 dollars to attend the event the getting kicked out because you did something people have been doing for years. Screw that

Currently watching last years Summerslam aka the last time WWE held a good PPV.

if this is true than thats ******** on wwe's part, childish aswell
if they don't want people voicing their opinions about the product they should stop feeding people **** and expecting them to like it just because

IF the story is true, then couldn't this garner even more negative press for Vince and the company in general?

I can imagine news organizations picking this up and running with it for awhile, and it'd be oh so satisfying if this further placed a damper on the Wrestlmania season.

I'm hearing that their were a lot of Daniel Bryan shirts in the crowd.

Technically speaking, couldn't the fans that were kicked out demand a full refund? I mean if they want to go all legal about this, wasn't it within their rights to say what they did in the manner that they did while being within the arena?

The Shield vs The Wyatts actually has me excited. Why can't they push all young talent in interesting feuds like this? This is what's so mind boggling about the E. They know how to do it but don't. Because of petty politics? Jeez.

SHOOTING DOWN A RIDICULOUS CM PUNK RUMOR
by Mike Johnson @ 8:31 AM on 2/4/2014

In regard to reports that fans were ejected from Raw last night in Omaha for chanting for CM Punk, both readers who were in attendance and WWE sources have confirmed that story is 100% false.

It appears the story started on Twitter and was picked up as if it was legitimate, but there was no basis in that claim.

We usually don't remark on unfounded rumors, but given the amount of email we've received this morning, we wanted to make it clear that WWE did no such thing.

I figured that had to be a lie, they are control freaks but they aren't that stupid.

Id like a yes movement shirt. The last shirt I bought was the yellow punk shirt which was a mistake because I never wear it or the color yellow

Some of the tweets didn't seem genuine. One guy said he got kicked out then had a hashtag "where's my refund". I'd be a lot more pissed than that.

- We noted before that WWE replaced CM Punk with John Cena in a banner on the WWE App yesterday. Punk was also replaced in the opening video for RAW last night, replaced with a shot of masked Kane. WWE also removed a clip of Punk talking about Paul Heyman from a preview for WWE Countdown on the WWE Network.

- Morale was low backstage at last night’s RAW. There was a feeling among wrestlers that Punk walking out was going to be a loss for the whole locker room since he’s always speaking up for everyone. There was also a feeling that as much talk as there has been about potential WrestleMania XXX creative changes in the past week, there wasn’t any real sign of that.

You see the ego in both Vince and Haitch in this Punk walkout. Vince likes to have his way. Punk left on his own terms. But even though Vince never gave him the ball he knows he needs Punk. He definitely needs every hand on deck to make this Wrestlemania as big as he wants it. Haitch pooped his iron crossed diaper because Punk blew him off as being beneath him. The time for him to put Punk over was two years ago. And if Punk was leaving anyway he had to know Big noses insecure ass would find an excuse not to do the job.

Mania Match with Taker > mania match with HHH. Sorry, Trips but it would be a step down for Punk.

That's what so frustrating about the WWE now. They'll let someone work themselves into the ground with the promise of a reward that never comes. It used to be that if you worked hard there was at least a chance of being rewarded. Not anymore. Now it's all about having the right person in your corner. Not how talented you are or how over you are. Zigglers one person that's learned this well.

Not surprised Punk leaving has morale down. Like I said before, I'm sure the ones who aren't upset are the Ortons and Batistas. Other than guys like that, Punk's departure can only be a bad guy since I'm sure he's the only one with any stroke who's got the balls to speak up for the lower/mid card guys. Sure, Cena has the power and seems like a nice enough guy, but he's too much of a company man to make waves.

CM Punk is said to be one of the leaders in the locker room. Both Wade Barrett and Miz have talked about Punk giving them advice before so Punk leaving would definitely effect the other guys in the locker room.

Guys like Cena and Punk also used to give support and put in a good word for many of the guys lower on the card.

Seems he's being remove everywhere except the active roster. It's kind of strange how they are proceeding with this. If he does get released I'd hope they wouldn't remove his interviews from the network programming.

They knew if a different mold non wwe created guy like Punk could make it they could too. And Punk wanted to see more guys like that succeed. WWEs always been better with more variety and more risks taken.
