The Rock is going to have the #1 film of the weekend.

Looking at upcoming releases, I would honestly not be surprised if it spent three weekends at #1.

Of course, Avengers comes out on that 4th weekend, so no chance it touches that.

The first NJPW star announced for the ROH/NJPW shows in May.

Is Wrestle Kingdom 9 ever going to be released on DVD? I still haven't seen it.

UPDATE ON WWE NXT TALENTS FOLLOWING WRESTLEMANIA
by Mike Johnson @ 9:56 AM on 4/1/2015

Vince McMahon, who attended his first-ever NXT event last Friday, is said to be super high on Charlotte after seeing her work against Sasha Banks.

There was talk of her moving to the main roster Mania week and that only multiplied after McMahon saw her work. I am told that McMahon also requested that she be featured more in the Tapout commercials that are running, so if you see more of an emphasis on her in that campaign, you'll know why.

I was told by several that Vince McMahon also loved Sasha Banks' work on the NXT live event in San Jose, CA.
Hideo Itami got the nod to win the tournament for the NXT tournament for the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at the last minute. The original plan was for Finn Balor or Adrian Neville to go over. Once the match was moved to the pre-show, the decision was made to go with Itami as a way to tie him into Tatsumi Fujinami going into the WWE Hall of Fame, since there was a lot of Japanese media in town covering Fujinami.

The Neville call up has been in place for some time.

CJ Parker decision to leave NXT was said to have been motivated by the feeling he had been in developmental for a long time (almost four years) and wanting to get out and make a name for himself outside of WWE as well as not wanting to be seen as one of those types of talents who are in developmental forever and never move on. I was also told it was a case of Parker wanting to better himself by wrestling internationally and up his game.
A number of NXT talents played the soldiers in the Triple H entrance at Wrestlemania, including Enzo Amore and Solomon Crowe.

I saw the Charlotte Tapout ads and she looks great in them. This is good news all around. Hopefully they see Charlotte as someone they can make into their own version of a Ronda Rousey. Sasha Banks is an amazing talent as well. I didn't know much about her before she won the belt but she is a very, very talented performer.

WWE is sitting on so much talent on the women's side it's insane. They could legitimately put out an hourly women's only wrestling show each week. The big problem is the audience isn't there because of how badly they've treated the division for the past 5+ years.

Rikishi was humble.

Zbyszko was nervous. I really enjoyed Sammarino's speech about him.

Madusa was emotional, but her speech was kind of depressing to watch as almost everybody she named dropped is no longer with us.

The Bushwhackers would've been better had Luke done all the talking. Butch's voice was strained. LOL'ed at Piper, Dibiase, and Hart doing the arm swings.

Skipped Fujinami because I didn't know much about him besides beating Flair at the first Superbrawl.

Loved Hogan's speech about The Macho Man. It was hard watching The Genius choke up.

Gov. Schwarzenegger's speech was well done.

It was good to see Kevin Nash appreciate the Diesel character and just being honest. Him talking about Oz had me rolling in stitches. :lol

WWE pushed hard to have Kevin Nash go into the WWE Hall of Fame as Diesel but Nash was having none of that. Nash wanted to go in under his real name so that whatever additional credibility the WWE HOF brought to his outside endeavors, he could use it. I was also told that Nash didn't want to go in under Diesel since for years the narrative was that he was one of the worst drawing WWF champions and now wasn't going to allow himself to be celebrated under that name for that reason. WWE tried to push Nash to cancel his late night Wrestlemania Shenanigans party but he refused.

So whenever Kevin Nash gets booked, he can be advertised as Hall Of Famer. Smart, but he'll always be Diesel to me. I think they used his character's name on the Hall Of Fame t-shirt though.

Shawn Michaels wasn't kidding when he said on stage he was going to end up in trouble as the company wasn't happy with his use of the word "strap" and "wrestler" during his speech. Michaels legitimately tore his prepared speech up and was going off the top of his head when he inducted Nash.

Retired and Michaels still giving McMahon a headache, lol.

The company wasn't thrilled with Madusa's use of expletives and some weren't happy about Eric Bischoff getting put over.

And yet it was the best speech. WWE needs to get a grip.

Also, has anyone come across a gif of Rollins stepping up to Lesnar on RAW and shoving the belt right up to his face like a boss? It was a great little moment that kinda fell thru the cracks.

It was one of those "WTF is he doing?" moments, until you realize Rollins is so cocky because he knows he has a ticket out of there courtesy of the princess.

Butch was hilarious tho. Far more entertaining than Luke would've been by himself.

Ditto on Madusa

Shawn still managing to raise Vince's blood pressure. :funny: No wonder him and Punk got along despite Punk's issues with Triple H.

The Undertaker was telling those backstage after his match with Bray Wyatt that he felt great and intended to work next year's Wrestlemania in Dallas, Texas.
Given how strong Taker looked in the ring and how well he was moving around before and after the show, a lot of people noted that he really must have been concussed far worse than anyone really understood the year before against Brock Lesnar.

Undertaker shared a locker room backstage with Sting and the two actually shared the same flight back to Texas. There was a lot of "if we do this" talk between the two about a potential match. The original idea when Sting came in was to eventually lead to the Undertaker bout at a Wrestlemania, although WWE management has cooled on long-term plans for the former WCW World champion.

It's really starting to smell like they've pulled a bait and switch with Sting, and it stinks.

Cameron and Rosa Mendes have been removed from Total Divas. It's pretty clear what happens next I think. I consider that positive steps.

It does. And just to add to that..

The WWE vs. WCW narrative in the Sting match with HHH was a Vince McMahon decision.

It's being said that Vince has been the one who is not pushing to bring Sting back and sees him as a nostalgia act.

There was said to be a number of people backstage that groaned at HHH pinning Sting at WrestleMania.

This really is the most raggedy era of officials. Nash and Michaels' speeches were great. The guaranteed money contracts...I think Vince is just mad it's mentioned that he was forced into doing that. I'm sure he blew a gasket at Shawn saying without the nWo, there would be no D-X.

Yep, called it.

It reeked of Vince from the start. HHH may be egotistical but he grew up on Flair and Sting and I'm sure wanted to something more respectful and reverential than what happened.

Well that would explain the handshake. Vince probably hated that.

Good, both are a waste of space anyways.

Now to get rid of Eva Marie.

Yeah but Vince could've put Taker in against Sting if he just wanted Sting to lose and push WWE>WCW. He would've made a lot more money doing so given it was the dream match everyone wanted.

I can easily see HHH worming himself into that match to help push the narrative.

Taker is to WWE what Sting was to WCW. HHH has always tried to push his own relevance in the Monday Night Wars and WWE.

I finally have a chance to watch Lucha Underground while the episode is airing rather than DVRing it.
