So apparently, Shane's ideas for improving the company are the opposite of Triple H and there would be a power struggle if he had an actual backstage role in the company.

If that's the case, keep Triple H in power. He's done a fantastic job with NXT.

He's done great with NXT but some of things he's been involved with on the main roster have been very questionable if not blatantly self serving....

He somehow always manages to become the focus of the show, and it's always to the detriment of the younger guys and overall quality. I'm still dumbfounded that they had he feuded with CM Punk during his hot run and ended up going over.

I still don't understand why Shane is not involved in the main event against the guy who actually "runs" the shows.

Is that for real? If so, Shane coming back is a good thing because if Haitch can claim responsibility for the current product then he deserves his fair share of criticism for the all-time lows in RAW ratings.

And Shane's ideas are supposedly worse than Stephanie's. Which is very incredulous. How can you be lower than the bottom?

So apparently there is a rumor going around that there is talk to bring back the brand extension. Don't know how I feel about that.

Undertaker is going to appear on Raw. I really hope he goes against McMahon.

It could work as long as they treat it like the first brand split where both shows are treated equally, they keep the brands separate, and they use it as an opportunity to develop certain guys characters.

Seriously when the Brand split first happened Smackdown was consistently great. Raw was pretty good too, it's just that the main event scene there was awful due to HHH and his 15 minute opening promos.

I've always hated the brand split. But they already have one going right now anyway. NXT is their second brand.

Because CM Punk had the gall to get over without McMahon or HHH decreeing it from the heavens.

Both guys know more about the business than pretty much anybody out there, but they're also hardheaded egomaniacs who don't like to put over anybody they can't take credit for creating (whether that credit is legitimate or illegitimate).

That's why Sting jobbed to HHH at his Wrestlemania debut. That's why CM Punk and Bryan had to have their fans essentially run amok and hijack shows to get title runs, and even then they weren't treated like the top guys. That's why Seth Rollins got his finisher taken away and replaced with HHH's, got buried by HHH nightly on the mic, and had his hair dyed to HHH's color. It's why they brought Owens into the company like a major force, then had him lose five straight PPV matches and banished him to the midcard with Dolph Ziggler.

I'd like to believe WWE will make guys like AJ Styles, Balor, Nakamura, etc the same opportunities they give "their guys" like Cena, Orton, Reigns, or Sheamus. But seeing is believing, and I don't see it yet.

I loved the brand split at first because the concept was executed nicely, both shows quality increased and I found the draft episodes fun as well as the Bragging Rights ppvs but after a while, it all started to feelook so lack luster and people started praying for the brands to unite again.

If it happened again and it was like the first few years then that would be great! The roster would get to rest more and things may feel fresh like Raw having whoever Vince wants to push as champions while Smackdown can have someone like AJ and Ambrose as the WHC that includes the big gold title.

But isn't that emblematic of WWE's problem in general? That management can't bear the thought of using some of these guys as "top guys" so they have a second, lesser title that they still refer to as a world title?

Eh better than nothing, some fans may consider the lesser whc as the best title and champions anyway like during much of the brand split.

Trips was hogging the title on Raw but Smackdown has the people's champions with people like Angle,Brock and Eddie

It's just another way for them to kick the can farther down the road before accepting meaningful, lasting change.

Well change ain't happening and so might as well have a bright side with a separate big brand and champs.

The people's show

A brand split makes sense in a few ways. USA will put pressure on WWE to make Smackdown increase its ratings. And two, creative will be forced to write better stories for the talent. Too many people are wasted like usual.

The only thing is the WWE World Heavyweight Championship being an issue. They made it a huge deal with uniting the titles. Two championships cheapen both. There'd be one champion only. But he'd have to be RAW exclusive because he can't have two concurrent feuds. That would mean either the Intercontinental or US title would have to be significantly beefed up to be the main Smackdown title.

RAW would be the A show by default but Smackdown can become the damn good B show that was consistently better than the A show circa 2002 - 2005 (Smackdown Six).

Smackdown was great before the brand split too though. The reason it was great during the split was because they had a lot of talent, they put the right people in charge, and they treated it like it mattered. They can do that without the artificial dilution of each show.

Damn, I must admit. The WWE fooled the hell out of me. I thought Haitch legit broke Roman's nose. The blood capsule was a good touch. It feels great to feel fooled when watching wrestling sometimes.
I want to be disappointed it's a blood capsule, but it was such a damn good ending and well played out scenario on TV I'm gonna give it a pass. Reigns sold it like his face was broken, good enough for me.

Yeah, it's hard to be mad when A) It's nothing new, just look at Flair and how often he bled. And B) It was done so well that it was believable.

This is one of the things I've come to hate about getting older and seeing behind the curtain with Wrestling and TV shows and stuff. Too much BTS stuff is known that it almost ruins the magic trick.

Edge does a spot on Triple H impersonation:

Was the RAW final segment really good? Triple H getting pops is what I would call terrible.

It was an enjoyable beatdown.

I already know how this Shane McMahon angle is going to end. They're not going to fool me twice! #Failamania
