I'm a snark. I make fun of the puppets. And the strings. And the puppeteers. It's all a joke. All of it. Vince trying to make an inherently non PG product palatable to everyone from 6 to 60. If it wasn't so absurd, it would be funny.
This doesn't mean I don't have a well thought out opinion on the product. Quite the contrary. And it's that thought process that makes me point out the crap for what it is. I long for the days of complex nuanced stories the took months and sometimes years to play out.
Instead we get selfie sticks and a man who has no inherent talent beyond being Hispanic as the US Champ. It's enough to drive you as crazy as the Joker in The Killing Joke. It's more than a bad day. It's a bad decade in Wrestling.
So, Kane and Undertaker retired?
So what's the consensus on Raw this week?
I actually liked it. Believe it or not.
So they're continuing with this different direction?
It felt fresher to me. Probably because Cena, Orton, and the old guard wasn't there. Plus there's some things I'm wondering about like is Cosmic Wasteland hoping to recruit Cesaro?
Roman is totally winning that belt and I'm cool with that.
I was just like" Shield guys and other guys I enjoy doing a 5 on 5, plenty of New Day, What's the deal with Cosmic Wasteland?, yay Tyler Breeze, two womens promos and a #1 contenders match? Bray is more powerful now? Kinda digging this...." Haven't felt like that in awhile.
Orton out 4-6 months:
Randy has suffered from a dislocated shoulder. Hes had chronic problems with his shoulder, and a recent MRI that was done found he has a Bankart lesion in his shoulder, some stretched ligaments and a partially torn rotator cuff, WWE physician Dr. Steve Daquino told WWE.com. At this point its a matter of when he dislocates the shoulder again, and not if. Surgery seems imminent, and recovery time for such a surgery would be four to six months.

The Bray thing could be cool. I'd have him basically use the choke slam, tombstone, last ride, big boot etc, all the famous Kane/Undertaker moves and really sell it. If he's really gonna be the next 'fantastical' character, go all out. But do ditch the 'follow the buzzards' thing. Let him take the "rest in peace" slogan and really own it. Why not?
I can definitely agree with that. It seems like they are trying to really focus on building their younger roster right now and hopefully this is actually the case becusee this direction is actually tolerable. They progressed everything despite there still being a bit more focus on the action.
Last week they saw an uptick in the ratings and maybe this week they'll see one too. If they do, hopefully this will give them a good idea of what we want to see going forward.
I also like that Rollins was protected this week and that this Reigns/Rollins feud is mostly about them. it was also refreshing to see them cut promos where they use the give and take method by giving a little praise and then backhandedly taking it away with a dig at either their character like Reigns did to Rollins or saying you'll always be second best like Rollins said to Reigns.
Orton being off television for an extended period of time is a good thing for his career. Just as shame that it's because of an injury.
When Orton does come back he needs to have his gimmick altered a bit and be a heel (not the sniveling/chicken type he was when he was with the authority). Orton is WAAAAAY overdue for a character tweak.
Same could be said for Cena, he needs to stay off tv for a good long while too. There's something to be said for letting fans miss you and coming back with a new spin on an old gimmick.
