So, surely the way to go for Summerslam is a four-way match for the title, right? Have BRAUN come out next week and destroy Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe, lay HIS claim on a title shot. It's one of those scenarios where everyone involved adds to the dynamic in their own way.
Brock Lesnar is the champion with the target on his back, everyone wanting to topple him, looking more vulnerable than ever with multiple opponents in the mix.
BRAUN is the unstoppable wrecking machine who has been winning the big matches and who probably has the most legit claim for a shot. He's someone who could potentially physically dominate Lesnar, which adds intrigue.
Roman Reigns is the corporate anointed one who just gets to saunter out and demand a title shot when he wants because he's Roman Reigns. Heyman is all over this because he sees it as a big money pairing, but even Brock calls BS on him having earned it. Basically, it's classic scumbag heel stuff, which even Reigns seems to have figured out in how he plays the character, and only WWE creative are oblivious.
Samoa Joe is the spoiler. The guy who was supposed to just be a filler opponent before the Grrat Anointed One Roman Reigns got his big Summerslam headline shot. And instead he took Lesnar to the limit in a way Reigns never could. Joe went from pure boos to a near babyface reaction through the intensity he brought. And the match was all Joe dominating, and Lesnar getting a lucky win and bolting out of the ring. Heyman is TERRIFIED of Joe getting another shot, and wants to keep him away at all costs. Again, that a is classic babyface stuff, but WWE thinks this makes Joe the dastardly heel.
