So Zak Bevis, her brother, just came out and said Paige IS being physically abused by Alberto.

If true, this gives me an actual reason to dislike him. Before this, I just thought he was boring/annoying, but this is a big no-no.

However, we're probably all hypocrites because we pop for Stone Cold, despite his history.

Some report for the industry tweeted out, after this recent incident that there have been noticeable bruises on her ever since they started dating.

True. Austin probably should have the same stigma attached to him as well.

So when was the last time that Brock Lesnar spoke in a middle of a WWE ring?

This isn't a surprise. Considering how noticeably crazy Alberto has been since leaving the WWE, how could anyone be surprised? And considering Paige's own history, it is no surprise she is covering for him. Its just sad as hell.

On a lesser note, I wonder how much Alberto is responsible for her basically daring the WWE to fire her. He is messing up so many parts of her life it seems.

"Paul, say something stupid" was backstage, right?

I do like when Lesnar does speak in the middle of the ring because it feels special when he does it.

Here's a look at ROH's attendance from January through June for each of the last six years (the timespan since Sinclair bought them)

2012: 671 per show, 12,750 total
2013: 621 per show, 11,546 total
2014: 830 per show, 13,282 total
2015: 986 per show, 21,700 total
2016: 928 per show, 23,210 total
2017: 1,105 per show, 24,307 total

They've very nearly doubled in size, and bounced back significantly from a bit of a down year (in average attendance) last year.

My friend has this theory in regards to Paige: he thinks that it's all gone downhill for her since AJ Lee left and that her feud with AJ gave her a lot of stability.

She was wrestling when they started dating, so I mean that's reason enough if she had bruises. If she had bruises while she's been out, that's cause for concern.

That's cool. I like ROH and hope they continue to grow but I feel like I missed out on the best stuff. The DVD Era still seems like the more exciting product, and I wasn't really getting indy DVDs back then.

Cena vs AJ for the US title to kickoff Smackdown.

I feel sad for Paige, but she has to get on board with stopping the cycle as well.

I don't want her to become another statistic, but she has to want help. Ever since he got with Paige, I knew this was going to be a disaster.

The product was probably at its best from 2003-2005, but you have to remember that they were only running 15-20 shows per year back then so every single one felt like a major event.

Now they run about 50 live events per year and tape over 50 episodes of TV, and nearly every single match they put on makes it to TV, VOD/DVD, PPV/iPPV, or at the very least Youtube.

Volume-wise ROH is putting out more good and great matches than ever before. But maybe the best of the best don't quite feel as special anymore, partially due to some booking issues.

There's also a bit of romanticizing the past, as is often the case with wrestling fans. We all remember Punk vs Joe or Danielson vs McGuinness but not everything was up to that quality.

Back in those 2003-2006 days, ROH was something else. ROH has never had more top level talent then that period. They had legit all time greats, in their physical prime, with enough time in the business to be able to pull off the nuance as well. The title reigns of Joe and Bryan were something else. And it wasn't even just the title reigns. Even the stuff that didn't click, worked well enough.

I miss those days. Saw some amazing matches live from 2006 through 2010.

Didn't the first ever ROH match include the Christopher Street Connection making out with each other?

But that was every one of their matches. And segments. And failed wedding thanks to Buff E having an affair with Matt Striker.

There was a lot of good and bad being an indie fan in NYC back in the day.

They are going to keep the belt on Naomi for 5 months, and she hasn't done anything with it, as there are at least 4 women more over then her on the show. :funny:

SD has two great champions in AJ and the Usos, and two awful champions in Jinder and Naomi. Its painful, especially as RAW has 5 great champions at the moment.
