- According to ProWrestling.net, Lord Tensai's sidekick, who has been seen in the video promos airing on Raw, is FCW developmental talent Sakamoto.

Jiro vs Mr. Sakamoto from FCW earlier this year.

"Once in a Lifetime" sounds like bait and switch BS if they go with a series of matches. Shameless false advertising.

Exactly, I mean are they going to bill the rematch as "Twice in a lifetime!...We swear we mean it this time".

Well , I'd like to see a rematch but not a trilogy. Hopefully Rock does mix it up with someone else before this is over.

I'd love to see Orton punt Rock on Raw after Mania and set up a match between the two at Summerslam. Another option we be a guy that would be elevated just by being in a feud with Rock, like Ziggler or maybe Cody who could play off the 3rd generation angle.

errrrm wrestlers play characters nothing like their actual personalities all the time, really not sure why Cena can't either....

tbh I think WWE has backed themselves into a corner with this match as it is clear Cena will still win but it wont be the popular finish and thus will probably taint the event in a majority of fans eyes , if they had turned Cena heel it would have at least been ustified, but it just kinda feels odd to me now... having thought about it the only reason people are saying they arent sure of how it will finish is because of how convincing the Rock was on that last Raw, because lets be honest Cena is winning this match

Except for the fact that the best wrestlers are usually the ones who do use their personalities only cranked up to 11 in their gimmicks.

Ric Flair IS Ric Flair only with the volume turned up. Same us true for Austin, Michaels, Cena, Sting, etc.

A lot of people would argue that Hollywood Hogan IS the real Terry Bollea on some level.

Yeah they do, most of those guys jerk the curtain, the guys who are top guys play themselves with the volume turned up, this has been said by everyone from Austin to Rock to HBK to Triple H, exceptions being comic book characters like Hogan and Taker.

Badass!

Knowing the WWE, I am very surprised that they have not had a Japanese wrestler named Mr. Roboto.

I don't think neither Team Teddy nor Team Laryngitis will win this Sun., I got a feeling the BOD will keep Teddy as GM for SmackDown! and bring in somebody new to run RAW.

Anyone surprised at Team Teddy not having Rey Mysterio?

Great Dolph Ziggler interview, talks about the business his character and what his goals are for after WM.

I disagree I think there are just as many who play gimmicks who have been at the top - I dont know mych about Sting but I didnt thnk his character was much like his actual self....

But then theres wrestlers like the Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Mankind, Kane etc...

Hell even when you say Rock and Austin, they played different iterations of their character, you think the guitar playing heel Austin is anything like the real guy?

- Randy Orton has officially signed on to star in Marine: Homefront. Production for the film begins June 11th in Vancouver, British Columbia. In the film, Orton plays Marine trying to rescue his kidnapped daughter.

John Cena starred in the first Marine film, while Ted DiBiase starred in the second. Orton was reportedly set to star in the second film, but due to an injury, DiBiase got the role.

Marine: Homefront will be released straight to DVD.

Only Hogan from that lot was a sustained top guy, for nearly a decade Taker was a special attraction not a main event guy. Foley and Kane were utility guys and a lot of the heart of Mankind when he got really over was built off the real Mick Foley, remember all those sit down interviews with JR where he talked about his real life growing up? before that he was just the crazy stunt heel that Taker semi-killed every few weeks.

Rock and Austin's sense of humour was in both iterations, the core of their characters remained pretty much what they are, a redneck tough guy and a loud mouthed jock.

Sting shares some of the same feeling of trust and forgiveness that most versions of his character have. Steve Borden/Sting has a strong moral compass. Just like his character. Steve Borden tries not to be selfish and is instead a team player when it comes to the business. Just like his character.

But then theres wrestlers like the Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Mankind, Kane etc...
Ultimate Warrior/Jim Hellwig was an aggressive alpha male crazy man who had very strict moral views and guidelines. JUST like his character. he goes on long rants. Just like his character.

Hellwig believes in a kind of personal discipline and the source of ones on success coming from their inner soul. Just like The Ultimate Warrior.

Mankind was an underdog type of character who could endure inhuman amounts of physical punishment to prove something. Just like Mick Foley in real life.

The BIKER Undertaker IS the personality of Mark Calloway/The Undertaker. And even the Deadman Undertaker has elements of Calloways real personality. His drive/dedication being one thing he has in common with his character. His attitude about respect being another. Both have a certain code of honor.

HOLLYWOOD Hogan pretty much is Hulk Hogans real personality.

Hell even when you say Rock and Austin, they played different iterations of their character, you think the guitar playing heel Austin is anything like the real guy?
Austin is a guy who has been known to have a peculiar sense of humor in real life so its not that far removed from the truth. The "WHAT" started as a REAL joke that the REAL Steve Williams made to guys like Christian while on the road.

Even then his heel run was a deviation from the overall Stone Cold persona. The most popular version of Austin's gimmick was the one that was closest to the real Steve Williams aka Steve Austin.

Ever since Dwayne Johnson first became "The Rock" (not Rocky Miavia) every face or heel version of his character has had some basis in his real feelings and personality.

Mick Foley, remember all those sit down interviews with JR where he talked about his real life growing up? before that he was just the crazy stunt heel that Taker semi-killed every few weeks.

Mick Foley: the merging of Kenny from South Park and Wyle E Coyote! :funny:

well for the last push for mania that sucked hard

and where is all this rumours of punk/austin for mania 29

Oh god, the lead actors are getting more robotic in each sequel!

I liked the ending to Sheamus and Orton vs Kane and DBryan. Sheamus gets caught on the rope then choke-slammed for Bryan to cover. Ordinarily that indicates Sheamus will win but I have a feeling Bryan retains so he can drop the belt to Orton. It seems too soon for Bryan's reign to end.
I want DBry to win, but I hope he drops it to Sheamus later, not Orton. Orton sucks.
The only way I want to see Cena win is if it is through a heel turn ala Rock Austin 2
Ditto

Wasn't Orton an actual Marine that went AWOL at one point!? :lmao:

Maybe Orton should have gone up for one of the Universal Soldier or Terminator sequels. :hehe:

Actually I could buy him in a cameo as a UniSol. If Tiny Lister and Goldberg did it why not?

DiBiase was in the second.
He's asking if the marine in the Marine is the same marine in the Marine 2 and The Marine 3 (I'm thinking no, but I've seen neither of the first 2), not who played them.

Wasn't Orton an actual Marine that went AWOL at one point!? :lmao:
Yes, yes he was. Oh, that is quite amusing. I think I might just :lmao:

You might have something there. Is there a 400th installment coming out on dvd in the next year?
