Yeah, I'm really sure that Vince is really just high on the Bella's "talents".

Assets would be more accurate.

Doesn't one of the Bella Twins look like Yul Brynner?

Being identical, wouldn't that mean both look like Yul Brynner?

I haven't seen any noteworthy talent from the Bellas yet. However, they will certainly be in the spotlight when Kong returns (since that feud was set up 7 months ago) and a feud with the DOD would be possible as well.

The promos have been awfully creepy, that's why I'm doubting it's Jericho, it's just not his style. That is unless his character is once again evolving, this time into a more deranged one.

I think it is a case of evolving, Jericho altered himself pretty drastically last time and I can see him doing it again on this next run.

- Ric Flair spoke with The Skinny out of the UK recently and talked retiring:

"To be honest I have no plans on retiring from the industry anytime soon. I feel that I still have so much to give to TNA. If the time ever comes that I cannot contribute anything to the company that is when I would have to consider my position within TNA. I am privileged that I have a limited schedule in TNA so my time in many respects is my own. Just now I like to spend time with my family and love to do some fishing. When I retire I’ll be doing more of the same."

I never thought I'd say this, but I don't think Ric has anything to offer the business anymore, all he does is rant and rave and make tacky sexual remarks that come off worse than ever as he looks every bit his 60+ years.

Duane Gill interview.

I loath Bill Goldberg. He thinks way to much of himself: he and Warrior should start hanging out together.

Goldberg is one of those guys that is a mark for himself.

Thing with Karen Jarrett is she's annoying as hell. And its not even that Vickie Guerrero heat magnet annoying. its more of a "shut the f*** up I'm turning off the tv" annoying.

It's her voice, TNA should start selling ear plugs at events, merch sales would skyrocket.

Wonder what he did.

- An interesting story regarding Brodus Clay is that when he finished shooting a movie for WWE Studios earlier this year and asked what WWE creative had planned for him, officials said they had no idea and suggested he come up with an idea for himself. Brodus came up with the idea of being a monster heel that doesn't sell for the babyfaces, then beats them up and inducts them into his personal "House of Pain", similar to World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry. Brodus reportedly was told that it was a great idea.

In fairness they did just say it was a great idea, they didn't mention who for! :funny:

- Vince McMahon has ordered that The Bella Twins be made a priority, as far as having more TV time and being featured more, not necessarily when it comes to winning matches.

Vince feels that The Bellas have strong public relations value since they are twins. He lectured the WWE writing team recently about how they've blown so many easy storylines with the twins angle.

Vince has been dying to do an incest angle for years, maybe he's looking to up the stakes to a Twincest angle.

Oh dear....I hear that Linda may be running for senate again......for her sake, let's hope that there isn't a sex scandal involving Vince.

He's already admitted in the past to cheating on Linda, and she's the one running for office.

I've always had a soft spot for twins. The angle they use of switching one of them out in the match isn't a bad one, but everything else they do in the ring is average at best.

They're like the Killer Bees, without the obvious sex appeal.

I just saw my Best Buy had Best of King of the Ring on the shelves. I might pick it up this weekend.

I nominated Metallo vs Nell2ThaIzzay for rivalry of the year.

Would Steve Austin still have been able to pull off the "Stone Cold" persona / attitude (catering to fans by being tough, drinking beer, using the middle finger, and beating up Vince and others) if he had kept his Billy Gunn / "Stunning" look?

I agree they're both *****ebags, but their characters were unique so I have a love / hate relationship with them.

Alex Riley is reportedly in the doghouse with WWE officials.

He probably got another DUI.

In all seriousness, I feel bad for the guy. He's got a lot of potential, but after the Miz feud and not winning the US title, there was nothing else for him to do.

The only way to settle this is inside a 16ft. high STEEL CAGE MATCH!

Austin wouldn't have been able to keep that look for much longer. His hair was thinning even back at the end of his WCW run. :oldrazz:

I added a second nom to that. It wasn't that fun to witness but those two really were at odds.

Austin had a lot of the attitude in his ECW promos but I'm glad he evolved.

!

I don't think the hair on his head would have mattered (although he wouldn't have it for much longer) as much as the bright attire, clean-shaven face, and the constant, arrogant smile. He was packaged and booked as a young Ric Flair-type back until Old Leather Butt and his coattail riders came in.

That period is still my favorite of Austin's career. I've always preferred "Stunning" to "Stone Cold". I loved Stone Cold's 2001 heel turn because it was the closest his WWF persona came to his Stunning character.

Count me in as "Stunning" Steve Austin fan. It was one of the bright spots of Pre-NWO WCW. I used to love his old school flapjack stunner from his singles matches.

Austin put on really good matches in WCW, but the "Stunning" gimmick sucked. He couldn't portray that character properly. Austin didn't buy into it.

Yeah, Stunning Steve would have just been seen as a Ric Flair clone for his career. Stone Cold defined an entire era of professional wrestling, and was fairly unique in the industry; there had been few good guys who were that violent and sadistic. No way in hell SCSA could have been made into a face in the Rock-n-Wrestling era.
