I don't think Miz's moveset is a problem. My boys Ambrose and Sandow don't use a lot of moves but I still enjoy their matches. I just don't buy into Miz at all. Nothing he does in his matches engages me as a fan. I'm not drawn to him as a performer.

I didn't see him as a 3rd wheel champion.

I saw him as a guy who stepped up his game in the spotlight and made himself relevant against the heavy hitters that were Rock and Cena.

Believe me, I really want to be a Miz fan, I think his personality is very entertaining, but his in-ring work is just missing.

It's not about the number of moves he knows, it's his lack of ability to develop an in-ring style that has a smidgen of believability around it. Ambrose doesn't use a lot of moves, but what he does conveys the fact that he is an unstable sociopath who's running on fumes. Same with Sandow, his violent in-ring style works with his personality, as if he's a character from a Shakespearian play or something.

The problem is, Miz is a small, fit guy with city looks, but has to try to wrestle like John Cena or Sheamus, not because it works for him, but that's the only style he can do safely with his current ability. The fact that they had to have a great big ceremony for him to "inherit" a new wrestling move is quite telling that he doesn't have an organic in-ring fighting style that the fans can buy.

If I had to guess, I'd be pretty sure that Darren "came out" to the WWE management years ago, with most of the locker room knowing as well. Most likely the WWE management told him that they're okay with it, and it was going to be up to him to (tastefully) make it public when and where he wanted to, and that the WWE would treat it like business as usual and deal with whatever unexpected consequences as they happen.

I'll probably get some flack here, but I never really saw the appeal ( or threat ) of the Shield as a group.

only Ambrose is the most interesting member.

maybe initially when they were concerned with "righting injustices" and attacking established stars. but that angle has kind of died out, and now they just come across as thugs who come out of, and retreat back into, the crowds.

I really hope WWE allows it to be business as usual for Young, instead of trying to exploit his coming out for publicity. I mean, with how desperate Vince is sometimes for mass media attention, I could see them pushing Young and having a big "first openly gay Intercontinental Champion" moment where Pat Patterson is in his corner or something.

When I first read Cena say 'his brother', for a second I thought he was referring to Darren Young. :hehe: :oldrazz:

Ok, so I didn't finish watching Raw until Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, and I never went through all the pages on here from all of you who watched it live...

Can someone explain to me what the hell happened during that mixed tag match with the ridiculous finish?

From a business perspective, I don't think there will be an upside to doing anything about this in the storyline, at least right now. However, I can see Young becoming a "Be A Star" ambassador much more frequently, which will increase his standing with the company.

BUT:

If there are unintended consequences arising from this, then I can definitely see the WWE taking advantage of it. Like if some conservative family groups start making noise about this, then the WWE will likely leverage this in their storylines.

To me, it looked as though AJ began to tap and so Nattie released the hold. The ref wasn't aware and thus didn't call for the bell, and Nattie probably should have held it until the bell was rung. From there they improvised, I guess, and did the spot again.

It also seemed as to me though when Nattie took the ref's hand in the middle of the ring it was if she was almost saying, "It's ok, don't worry about it".

Oh we all know he will get a big push now.

- According to PWInsider.com, former WWE Diva Eve Torres will be doing some promotional work with WWE this week in LA while the company is in town for SummerSlam. She will reportedly be appearing at several charity events on behalf of the company as she lives in the LA area.

- The Wrestling Observer is reporting that The Wyatt Family is one of Triple H's big projects, and that they'll likely be receiving a big push very soon. The report goes as far to say that the Wyatts might even take the spot of The Shield in terms of position, and that The Shield could take a step down as a result.

Kharma and Sin Cara were also Triple H projects, and their lack of success is part of the reason some sources feel Triple H will focus even more on making The Wyatt Family work out in a big way.

- The talk right now is for Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton to main event WWE Night of Champions in September with John Cena not in the WWE Title picture.

- While there's no update to rumors of Triple H turning heel at SummerSlam, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that it's still in the cards at some point. The long-term plan is for Vince McMahon to eventually turn face and bring in a "conquering hero" to take out Hunter at WrestleMania 30 next year in New Orleans.

All this is true. Good points.

For some reason, this reminds me of when Superman Returns came out, and this woman I worked with heard I saw it and was like "Is Superman gay in the movie? My son said he acts gay in this one." I was just like "At no point in the movie does he have sex with another man, so I'm not sure what your son is talking about." After a few seconds of "You know what I mean... You know... Like..." she finally just stopped.

On the plus side, it could mean a push for Titus as well, which is no secret that it's something I've wanted to see.

In any event, it's not the Darren will be pushed to the main event level because of this (it won't work, the WWE universe doesn't like gays that much). However, if it injects some interest in the tag team or mid-card single titles, then everyone wins, right?

This is awful. Vince is one of the greatest heel characters ever (at least he was during the Austin-McMahon feud). He needs to go out as a villain.

Depends who the conquering hero is. If it's the Rock (again) no thanks, played out. If it's Cena, too obvious, that's basically what's been happening over the past 8 years anyway.

But Vince forming an unlikely alliance out of desperation, that would be interesting from a story perspective. Punk maybe? Bryan? Lesnar, dare I say?

I'm starting to get the feeling we could possibly see Bryan vs. Haitch at Mania next year.

Tbh, I'm starting to get to the point where I'd be more interested to see how the Shield fair as singles. Though there's a good chance that could result in them getting lost in the shuffle.

I mostly just fear that it will be the main event, and the main event should be for the WWE title instead.

See I agree it s quite thorny ground they walking. If they let it go and do nothing it'll go unnoticed apart from some ******* fans.

If they make a story about it, it could back fire hugely with family groups like you said or even the gay community getting up in arms if anything negative happens to Darren in or out of story

Jo Jo Offerman from Total Divas, who has a great voice, will be singing the national anthem or “America the Beautiful” at SummerSlam.

With the exception of that last part, I don't have a problem with most of this stuff if true. I just wonder if Orton will usurp the title from Bryan this Sunday or will he do it right after Bryan win's at Night of Champions.

The whole thing with Vince as the face makes no sense if this whole thing is meant to be the transition of the company head HHH has to win and if he's heel that means its not likely.

You really thing they are going to bring in some huge name to just......job......to ....hh.......ahh who the **** am I kidding of course they would.

So who still owe hunter a win.
