If he's back in the WWE on a Legends deal and not the center of attention like he was in TNA then it wouldn't bother me that much.

Funny how two days ago, Darren Young was basically a joke, and now we're talking about him getting a big push because he came out.

Lol, the irony is not lost upon me either.

That stated, this is a strange industry. Look at the character The Rock used to play when he first entered the WWE as a "blue chip prospect." Or Stunning Steve Austin. Look at all the crazy characters Dolph Ziggler used to play not too long ago.

That's the way WWE works sometimes. If you can get some mainstream publicity you'll get a push. WWE has a partnership with GLAAD, so this probably made them very happy as well.

GLAAD is full of damn IWC smarks. They spent all day today tweeting about how much gayer the wrestlers are in Japan.

The Prime Players Vs. The Real Americans would be perfect for Night Of Champions. I can only imagine what kind of disparaging remarks The Dirty Dutch could come up with!

Those guys all went through massive character overhauls and used their charisma to get over on wwe programming. Darren told a tabloid reporter that he is gay at an airport. Not quite the same leap.

If TNA fires Bischoff and Hogan then end the Aces and 8's storyline and put Jeff Jarrett at Head of Creative then their would a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel. From there, the X-Division, Knockouts, and Tag division can be rebuilt while they work more on building up Aries,Storm,Roode and Magnus for the World Title picture while also putting more emphasis on Styles.

Jarrett....? Why Jarrett specifically?

He's not perfect but he doesnt treat the X-Division, Tag and Knockouts like an afterthought. He just needs to never hire Vince Russo again.

And keep himself off TV.

Yeah....That too. Id recommend adding Paul Heyman or Gabe Sapolsky to collaborate with Lagana and co to make something unique if they werent trying to free up money.

Russo and the possibility of Impact becoming the Jeff Jarrett show again are my only real issues with Jarrett running creative.I mean TNA goes through this cycle of one overbearing presence after another; Jarrett, Angle and Karen, and Hogan and Bischoff.

In the WWE, people can get an initial push for all sorts of reasons, deserved and undeserved. It's up to them to run with it, otherwise they won't get very far (Drew McIntyre, Scott Putski). The Rock got his initial push just because of who his dad and grand-dad were, and it almost backfired on him. He used his natural and exceptional ability to build an amazing career out of it, but that initial push was based on the oft-repeated phrase "first third-generation superstar."

Yes, Young will get a push. A little push. If he really does suck, it won't go very far.

While I am against the use of Young's sexuality as a plot device, the significance of what he did is pretty high. Right now, there is one openly gay major league athlete in the United States, and he is a WWE wrestler (again, until Jason Collins gets a contract, he's no more an active NBA player than I am). That is a fairly big deal from a sociopolitical perspective, and for a worked sport like the WWE, this real-life drama is like jet fuel.

Just a heads up, guys. The PPV Predictions for SummerSlam are up.

O'Neil, Langston, Young, and Otunga all have the "IT" factor.

We already know Young is getting a push. His publicity will be rewarded handsomely. Otunga just never had a good gimmick but I always liked him. Him being Mr. Hudson also helps. If the WWE doesn't botch Langston, he'll be in a great position by the end of the year. And I hope the ball isn't dropped on O'Neil when they do whatever it is they decide with Young.

:o

With the WWE Title scene a bit crowded, I could see the WWE giving Langston a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, provided Michael Hayes doesn't object. I could see Langston a face because sooner or later because the WWE has got to realize that nobody gives a flip about Alberto Del Rio.

I think he knows noone wants him or Russo on TV again or Russo in creative again

I see Del Rio dropping the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions and hopefully soon after that he never gets another title shot ever again. Then again his gimmick is "Destiny, Destiny, Destiny, I want a Million title shots in a row, something Spanish, Destiny, Destiny"

Of course, he's going to have to lose it to a face in order for Sandow to cash in. I have no idea who that's going to be. Langston would be a good face if he moved to Smackdown. Tired of seeing him face Christian or Ziggler (although I like Ziggler). Orton and Bryan are no longer in contention to dethrone Del Rio. It would be a downgrade for CM Punk, The Big Show, Kane and Mark Henry don't need the title, Sheamus will be out until the Royal Rumble and Sandow is a heel.

Rhodes? Ziggler again? Continue with Christian? I have no idea who Del Rio is going to face.

Ziggler needs to take the World Heavyweight Championship. He's the rightful champion right now.

****ing Jack Thwagger.

Either TNA could risk pissing off Hulk Hogan by releasing his daughter or maybe Hulk Hogan would be behind his daughter's release from his meetings with TNA's Board of Directors.

Since Brooke was released when she was in the middle of a long-term storyline with Bully Ray, this has me wondering if TNA's financial situation is more serious than we thought.

-WWE Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus announced via her official website that her baby is due next month, and that it will be a baby boy. She also noted that she will be naming the child "Maximum," or "Max" for short. For more, including photos from her baby shower, visit TrishStratus.com.

Baby drops in September, plenty of time for someone like Trish to get in shape for a match at Mania next April. :D

I could see him having roughly the status of Jake the Snake during his 1991-92 phase, or as Roddy Piper was to Hogan.

I wouldn't compare him to Piper who was a huge draw and as much of a reason for the success for the first WrestleMania as Hogan was.

I just realized you picked Rock vs Brock. Dang, can't pick that one.

WWF Title: John Cena vs CM Punk, Triple H as guest referee
- Despite the ending, I really liked this match and it might be my favorite in their series, as Cena went out of the box the most here, stepping his game up against Punk. Technical skill displayed by both men, really good near falls, and the crowd was just eating it up.

World Title: Randy Orton vs Christian - This was a great blow off to their feud, and Orton catching Christian with RKO on the steps was great.

Chris Benoit vs Chris Jericho: 2 out of 3 Falls - Chopfest! This match was fast, hard hitting and the next step for the feud between the two Chris'. Great selling. Match was nearly flawless.

WWE Tag Title: Un-Americans vs Booker T/Goldust - Not the best tag team match, but an entertaining one during the cool Un-Americans era.

IC title match: Dolph Ziggler vs Rey Mysterio - Next best opener after Mysterio/Angle. Rey was good here, but the star was Ziggler. This is the match that showcased the potential this man had. He was the heel and still getting applause for his work.

Hardcore Championship: Shane McMahon vs Steve Blackman - Definitely a product of 2000. You'll never see anything like this again. This was where Blackman was at his best, and Shane was crazy.

Edge vs Eddie Guerrero - Don't know how many people remember this match, but it was excellent. Eddie working the arm majority of the match Edge selling it, even when hitting the spear.

I couldn't think of a 7th, due to the rules and matches already taken

Sorry for the cross wires, I didn't mean we couldn't choose the same matches as each other, just that none of us could use the same wrestler twice on our cards.

Man those 2011 title matches were damn good and that Benoit/Y2J, 2 out of 3 Falls match is a bit of a forgotten gem from their rivalry. That match between Rey and Ziggler was definitely Dolph's arrival and I think Rey should have put him over at that Summerslam.

I don't want Hogan getting fired right now.

If he gets fired now, this close to WrestleMania 30, he'll be right back on WWE tv. And then we'll HAVE to watch him. Probably Brooke too.

You just know Hogan already has the scent of a Mania 30 payday wafting up his nostrils.

If he's back in the WWE on a Legends deal and not the center of attention like he was in TNA then it wouldn't bother me that much.

If that happens, the WWE will bring Santino dressed up as Hulk Hogan and trying to say "Brother" a million times with that Italian accent of his.

And then Michael Cole will start laughing like a *****ebag.

Caught up on Impact, the Ladder match and the Tables match were both very good even if the Appletini finishes were a bit weak.

I liked the MEM failing to recruit Aries, he should stand alone.

Mickie looked amazing and was on her game again, the triple threat inter-gender hardcore match saw her and Gail break new ground for women.

I think Magnus getting to speak for the MEM against the Aces & Eights makes him look important but they need to hold off pulling the trigger with him, his promos aren't nearly good enough and he isn't that over.

Speaking of promos, Bully had some good mic work this week and I'd say Rampage and Tito Ortiz made up for inexperience with enthusiasm.

The Bully vs Sabin cage match was good, I don't get the complaints about lack of offense from Sabin, he got plenty in for a guy who was playing the classic underdog babyface. I also don't see the problem with the finish. The title is back where it belongs.
