The GM sent an email while The Rock was doing his promo when he returned. Though i wouldn't be suprised if WWE ignored that bit of continuity.

Maybe He and Vince are in on it togther and it will be the Corporate Rock.

Punk has a valid reason to feud with Orton...and the storyline is basically about Punk wanting to help Orton overcome his issues...it is a great fit for the character Punk has created.

Punk vs The Rock...they've never met...Punk should have nothing against him...Punk would completely and utterly NOT fit into this storyline.

The Miz is a minor mainstream celebrity who THINKS he's a big star. The Miz is a semi-talented wrestler who THINKS he can hang with the big dogs. Miz perfectly fits in with both Cena and The Rock.

Does his gimmick suck? Maybe...but I think it's a natural fit for his personality and his history in reality tv. When he debuted, it was thought that he was just some reality tv guy who would appear on any tv show that would have him. No one took him seriously. This angle is basically saying YOU ARE RIGHT...his ego has just taken over and he believes that he belongs at the top and is a huge star. Someday something will happen that will bring his ego and world crashing down around him...and he'll turn face...and the crowd will pop huge as he finally earns his place in wrestling against a top heel.

Is Wrestlemania the place for this sort of angle? Maybe not...but it is also no place for CM Punk to be involved in a feud that has nothing to do with him.

the audience should never accept Miz....EVER

I'd be fine with that. Just as Sting should never be a heel, maybe Miz should never be a face.

However, with his current gimmick...which I admit is flawed...if he doesn't have SOMETHING to brag about (a world title, a briefcase, a US Title) he seems like a desperate joke. He has to evolve in some way to avoid slipping way down the card.

pretty much.....

Looks like Christian is being added to the 8 man tag match against The Corre. What a drop from rumored world title match, to the biggest throwaway match on the card.

Christian will get into the title picture eventually...I would honestly want to see him go with Del Rio one on one as opposed to having him in there with Edge

Maybe not this storyline, but a separate storyline. Although doing that would mean bringing back the Straightedge stuff. He could always say that the Rock is in an industry that often features people either drunk or high on drugs and that there are actual movies about those very subjects.

The report as earlier stated that plan was dropped.

Because whenever I talk about liking the Miz, and why, the responses from you and HR are always "how could you possibly think that? What does he do well? How is he better than the guys that came before him?"

I answered the question. I've told you a thousand times why I love The Miz, and why he's my current favorite in the company, but the response is always "he's average in the ring and doesn't 'tick any boxes' like those that came before him"

So in other words you simply don't want us to address you at all? because really most of us here have very little in common with you on regards to this business and you constantly make remarks that would garner a response, but if you'd prefer no responses I can do that.

I feel like I went into a comic book store and gave the wrong superhero as my favorite comic, then got a lecture from the old shop owner about how there's no way so and so could ever beat Batman in a fight, because Batman is x, y, and z better than everyone else.

Okay, that's nice. But I don't like that comic. I like this one.

Ok so again I'd ask, do you want no responses? and can you also stop trying to tell us that guys we think are main event material aren't? the bottom line is you are walking one way and most of us are walking the other, and you are quite direct in your stances, which we reciprocate, it's unfortunate that you may feel outnumbered but people can't change how they feel.

That's fine if y'all don't want Miz in the main event, I don't want Ziggler in the main event. But everytime I express an opinion different than the norm (I.E. The Miz is a good main event champion), I get lectured about how so and so isn't as good as the people that came before him, or doesn't do this, or doesn't do that. Okay. Cool. You don't like him. I do.

As I recall when Ziggler got his shot at the Rumble you moaned on and on about him and trashed him in nearly every post, even to the point that a casual like yourself decided to stop watching an entire show, so from this point do you want us all to simply let you revel in the Miz and not reply with opinions?

If he's the Anonymous GM, how is he going to explain all of the power Michael Cole has as the voice of the GM?

It's why I think the GM will be Michael Cole.

I think it would be unneeded and pointlessly complicated to make The Rock the Raw GM at this point. Sounds like Russo swerve booking.

Punk has a valid reason to feud with Orton...and the storyline is basically about Punk wanting to help Orton overcome his issues...it is a great fit for the character Punk has created.

They could do that story ANY time. They could have done it a year ago or a year from now

Punk vs The Rock...they've never met...Punk should have nothing against him...Punk would completely and utterly NOT fit into this storyline.

Even though The Rock took time out to talk trash about Punk on Smackdown. yeah Punk had NO reason to respond to that. :whatever: And even if that wasn't there Punks a "bad guy" If Punk was feuding with Cena he'd ALREADY have enough reason to be involved with Rock vs Cena and not look as comically outmatched as The Miz does.

The Miz is a minor mainstream celebrity who THINKS he's a big star. The Miz is a semi-talented wrestler who THINKS he can hang with the big dogs. Miz perfectly fits in with both Cena and The Rock.

You mean as a weak wannabe champion who could get beaten half to death by Cena or Rock if they had one hand tied behind their backs? Rock defeated Hogan and Austin at back to back Manias. Cena took down both members of DX at back to back Manias. The Miz...had trouble beating a 60 year old part time wrestler. he doesn't fit with Cena and Rock except for ego...and Punk has more than enough of that and he's already feuded with top stars in WWE.

That gimmick fits great for a midcarder...or David Otunga...not the WWE champion who is defending at Wrestlemania.

If the angle is saying I'm right thats just crappy creative ideas from WWE because Wrestlemania should be about more than that. This sounds like a half**ed fued that could headline Fatal Four way or some sh** like that.

Someday something will happen that will bring his ego and world crashing down around him...and he'll turn face...and the crowd will pop huge as he finally earns his place in wrestling against a top heel.

You assume a lot for WWE. He could already earn his place AS a top heel if he was really good. He's not. He's not bad but he's average. And he should bed a top guy AFTER he earns his place not before. Your concept is already flawed.

Is Wrestlemania the place for this sort of angle? Maybe not...but it is also no place for CM Punk to be involved in a feud that has nothing to do with him.

He could have have been involved in the feud months ago if he was stull feuding with Cena. And on top of that the Rock already make his feelings known and Punk responded in kind. Guess you missed those shows.

Not until he can do something except look like a frog faced kid trying to matter.

How about...TRYING to become a better wrestler? coming up with a better persona? Getting a finisher that doesn't look like something The Diva's would use?

Miz is too much of a natural *****e to ever be taken seriously as a babyface.

Ziggler on Raw....I was happy to see that. I like Ziggler. His match against Edge at the Rumble meant that Edge had to bring his "A-Game" and we don't see that too often from the Rated R Superstar as of late.

if by some cosmic miracle, Miz retains....I am probably going to take another break

i can see the rock acciedentally costing cena the match at mania
or a wm14 swerve ala mike tyson where he puts down the miz and holds up cena's hand

Miz retaining is the only outcome that seems impossible. I'm all for it. The outcome I expect (The Rock getting in the middle of the match, The Miz smart mouthing him and then shoving him, The Rock destroying Miz, Cena gets the pin and the title, The Rock raises Cena's hand as a show of new found respect for WWE's biggest star) would be god-awful.

Would it surprise you though if that was the end result?

Would it surprise me if Miz retained?? OH YEAH! I dont see any way that he's walking out as champion.

I was talking about the scenario of the Rock costing The Miz the title and raising Cena's hand at the end.

The only way Miz could believably beat Cene is by some kind of major cheating or interference from the Rock. That would equally as predictable and God awful. The only thing that might do is set up Cena vs Rock...but thats not needed because the two of them already have a problem with each other. Thats why this whole Cena/Miz feud is god awful.
