I was fortunate enough to read the current draft of the X-Force film last week, and I can tell you, it was beyond impressive!

He also mentioned it would be a Cable/Deapdool movie back in July.

I can pretty much eliminate some sites suggestion that the Milligan X-Statix stuff is in the mix. An X-Force film is Cable. Is Deadpool.

To be fair rictor is bisexual not gay but it would definitely be interesting

He should be from distant future and they should have time travel technology. I want to see Cable back in time to 70's or 80's in Egypt.

...With this Apocalypse announcement I want her developed with Angel. But I dont think Singer will care enough about them enough to give them their due. Theres too many characters. Angels demise in Dark Angel Saga is one of the strongest things Ive read in X-Men books, and it would be really friggen rad if they tried to adapt that last moment with them. Ill also be very disappointed if they dont use that relationship and build it to some degree here in X-Men or X-Force down the line,.Especially now that Apocalypse is in the equation.

Archangel is a must especially if they're doing X-Force and Apocalypse. I mean if they don't use him then it'll be obvious the producers don't care

The UXF suit should work pretty well on film. Perfect combo of her past and current look. Def dig it more then her current.

I honestly hope that there's a fourth wall breaking scene after everyone but Deadpool dies where Deadpool walks off set and begins arguing with Jeff Wadlow and demanding a reshoot and then Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner and Mark Millar have a cameo where Deadpool demands that they as producers fire Wadlow. All three of them agree and then Deadpool gets replaced as director. The credits will even say that the film was written and directed by Jeff Wadlow and Deadpool. IMO, that would be the truest that Fox could stay to the characters.

I guess that Deadpool movie isn't happening and instead this will be the Deadpool movie we're getting. I'm okay with that! Cable is such a serious character that it works perfectly! I always thought there may be an issue if Deadpool was the only protagonist of a film because then there's nothing rooted for the audience to get invested in any sort of drama or issue in the film if Deadpool just laughs it off as, "Yeah this is only a film anyways!"

I don't see that problem. Deadpool knows he's in the comic, yet the drama still works. It's not like because he knows he's a fictional character, he doesn't care about whatever happens to him or around him.

I know in the comics it works well, but in film the audience needs to connect with the world and the character's issues. Films try to make the general audience accept the world and believe it for two hours or so, but if the main character knows it's just a film the audience will be taken out of that world instantly which is something films generally try not to do.

The Deadpool movie has not been cancelled. Last we heard it was taking steps forward. Neither of these films have a date so time will tell.

Yep.Apocalypse Is only film post DOFP with a date.X-force,another wolverine film,and Deadpool all are suspose to be In devolpment with X-FOrce looking like It is further along.

I don't agree with the weird everyone dies thing but I think it would be funny to have Deadpool be like the "Zack Morris" of the team who is the one meta guy that just knows we're watching.

Yeah, some in jokes and popculture references would be in line, but no need to distract imo. The heavy 4th wall breaking only happens in Deadpools world. When something is not from Deadpools pov, its really not required for the character.

Which is why I think the X-Force film being the film with Deadpool as a main character is a good idea. He won't be breaking the fourth wall because Cable is also a main character and the film won't ruin the audience believability of the world through a breaking of the fourth wall.

Just finished the Deadpool video game. Man, Deadpool deserves his own video game. The constant breaking of the 4th wall is amazing!

Loved his interactions with Cable!

Loved his interactions with the X-Babes and Wolverine!

Loved that all of these others were really just cameos and that it focused almost solely on Deadpool!

Loved his different personalities (not sure how they could do that in the movie - or even if it would be needed).

Loved his interactions with Death! Would she be usable in a Deadpool movie?

If done right with things like him breaking the 4th wall, him being the crude, sexist guy he is, with him having to do things like find his arm or climb up his intestines... could be amazing!

That's exactly the problem of having a Deadpool solo film with him constantly breaking the fourthwall. It wouldn't work. That's why I'm totally down for a buddy cop Deadpool and Cable film with a serious tone, but having a balance of a hilarious protagonist in Deadpool and serious action hero protagonist in Cable.

There are a lot of stories that you could adapt, with only Deadpool in the main role, that would still work. You don't need to make it some sort of buddy cop movie. You just need to find the right balance of 4th wall breaking. The game didn't have the right balance and broke the 4th wall like every other second and constantly talked to the player. That doesn't happen constantly in good Deadpool stories.

That's what I'm saying. If he doesn't break the fourth wall in the film and instead did pop culture references and such instead you could still have a really good Deadpool solo film.
