I'm sure they are waiting but with these characters they won't know until they try. Unless they introduce them in main X films. The market will be asking for more X-Men films starring the characters they know. With new properties like Deadpool, Surfer and X-Force. They gotta make the jump with new characters regardless. Which means building a new audience.

They should have confidence, these are popular characters that any other studio would kill for. Silver Surfer and Deadpool. Come on.

I agree that it will be a big leap forward if they invest in a film about a team of mostly unknown X-Men characters.

Maybe they'll take notes from Marvel Studios. :o:hehe:

Yeah. They keep saying they are, but that's a sketchy subject I think we both agree on when only dealing with X-Men and F4 films. Very worried about their execution in that and trying to copy/cash grab the wrong way.

A Surfer/F4 crossover would be welcomed. As would a X-Men/X-Force flick.

I'll only believe this movie is really happening when they cast Cable and Domino. :o:awesome:

This probally means X-force isn't the mystery 2018 film.

It probally means It will be X-men/FF or X-Men sequel.

I know some want to bash fox for not greenlighting every properity they have but consider this from 2013 to at least 2018 they are coming out with one film a year

2013-The WOlverine
2014-Days of future past
2015-The Fantastic four
2016-Apocalypse
2017-Both third wolverine and FF sequel
2018-mystery film

Marvel studios sole purpose Is to produce films based on marvel propertys.

Fox Is beating the output of WB and SOny.And warner brothers has whole DC
universe to play In.

They got BVS, with Arrow, Flash, Constatine, Gotham on tv and a Sandman film in the works. And we all know Justice League and WW are right around the corner post BVSS. They have plenty going on with their characters for fans, just not in film at the moment. Even Fox jumped on the DC Batman wagon.

The only film WB has with firm realse date is whatever the superman/Batman
Is being called. Granted justice league may soon follow it but it doesn't have a release date.

I don't have high hopes for the Fantastic Four reboot.

I would like Fox to surprise us again but ehh right now I'd rather see a 5th X-Men film with the OT cast than to have a cross-over with FF.

If the FF reboot is set In present day the crossover film could involve the OT cast assuming that Is the 2018 film.

But Arrow/Flash/Constantine/Gotham are TV shows. And didn't they say Arrow isn't part of the DC cinematic universe they are building. I'm sure that will be the case for the Flash tv show. They also made TV shows in the past and still the amount of the movies they are releasing every year hasn't really changed dramatically. And making Justice League and Wonder Woman has been in talks for almost a decade now.

And Fox probably jumped on the DC Batman wagon just because they don't have the TV rights for X-Men/Fantastic Four characters.

I know. That's why I said "on tv". If Fox was putting out a Deadpool or a New Mutants show I wouldn't be asking for these movies half as much if at all.

My point was DC are using their characters, and have a place for audiences to see and watch their stories..

Is it even possible for a live action X-Men show then?

Well if Fox had the TV rights for a X-Men movie, they could at least do a TV show for New Mutants or something that will feature less mutants. It doesn't have to be "X-Men" but a spin-off TV show. Similar to Agents of Shield.

Also compare to the other American broadcast networks like NBC/CBS/ABC, Fox the network doesn't have a lot of scripted 1 hour drama shows and if they had the rights, they would probably at least try to make a pilot or at least milk the success of the film series.

Yeah but not in film, which has been my issue with Warner Brothers .

They were able to do 10 seasons for Smallville, pilots for Wonder Woman/Aquaman, TV shows for Green Arrrow and the Flash but when it comes to live-action movies, it is still Batman and Superman. Then the other ones that got a movie like Green Lantern/Catwoman, their movies were not received well and they failed at the box-office.

I figured that, but can they even do one regardless of who has the rights ? Pretty much every superhero has had a tv show now. Sooner or later some sort of X-Men show has to come up.

Well X-Men can have their own live-action TV show if Marvel chooses to do one.

But I'm not exactly sure about the agreement with Fox/Marvel. If I remember correctly, Fox sued Marvel for the Mutant X show?

Yeah, interested in how all that works exactly. Seems sketchy for both studios. I'd have thought Fox would own the rights but guess not.

Would be funny if Marvel actually had the rights for a live action X-Men TV series.

There's plenty of X-related set-ups that would work well in that format, X-Force included, but budget would always be a problem. AOS is mediocre as hell.

Idk, I think he might be too big for this. But if he wants to do it...

He was willing to do The Wolverine which is arguably a smaller film compared to a team film. After his Noah success I bet studios would back anything he wanted to do. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

If Jeff Wadlow is doing Masters of the Universe that doesn't look good for X Force does it?

Nope it doesn't or at least it means it won't be the 2018 film.

Wadlow Is suspose to be both rewriting and directing Masters of the Universe.
