The -yawn- Ring 3

True, but more dramatic is the conflict between morality and survival instincts, which the film (admittedly a short film) doesn't do more than touch upon.

Imagine what they could have done in two hours!

I'd be interested in this if it were about Samara, but I couldn't care less about her damn mother.

I hated that adoption subplot in The Ring Two anyway, they should've just kept it with the Morgans as her birth parents as was originally intended.

Exactly.

It's so much creepier (as in the original 2002 movie) if Samara's mother tries repeatedly to have children, fails, then goes somewhere, and does something, and comes back with a child. It's just so much more potent and allows for all manner of disturbing ideas.

This would make it a Pre-Quel. Ring 2 sucked.

All the way through, you can see Naomi Watts thinking, "Wish I wasn't here. I wonder what's going on in the studio next door?"

David Dorfman just seems like a normal kids actor in the Ring Two, he doesn't have the mesmerising aura of weirdness he had in the original.

Thanks to overexposure, the least scary thing in the universe to me now is a little girl staring at me from behind long, stringy, greasy black hair. :(

I know what you mean. And it was scary at first.

The Ring Two was one of the most boring movies that I have ever seen, honestly Boogyman was a better movie, atleast I got a few chuckles out of that clunker.

Still the Fog remake has to be the worse horror movie ever.

The Ring Two had Naomi Watts, automatically making it better than Boogeyman and most of the endless slew of PG-13 generic supernatural thrillers that The Ring spawned.

I liked The Ring Two, but I wish they just went with the first idea for it and made it part sequel, part prequel instead of a possession flick.

Now Daveigh Chase is too old for the prequel, and they're planning a movie about a mother Samara shouldn't even have had since like I said, they should've stuck with the Morgans as her true parents.

First one was good, second was crap this will be bad.
