The Year 2012 (Merged)

Come on, folks! If Jack Van Impe is talking about it, you know it ain't gonna happen:

*note: Watch the incredible math formula he uses to determine the accuracy of 12/21/2012 . . . 4 days off!*

I used to catch this shyster on TV late at night when I was in college. He was telling us that Y2K would mark the Second Coming. When I saw this thread, I thought, "I wonder if JVI has caught this train?" Sure enough, a YouTube search proved me right!

And for the record, I consider what this guy is doing a waste of time and an embarrassment to the Faith. :cmad:
:pal: The comments below are priceless as well.

There won't be anything happening in 2012 because the Fair Tax will stop it, and it will divert the trajectory of asteroid 99942 Apophis, correct global warming, convince the conferences in Division 1-A college football to use a playoff system, end world hunger, cure every debilitating disease, and will prevent the red ring of death on the 360

I love it...let us ignore what the other calendars say and hop on the Mayan wagon.

After nothing happens in 4 years we'll follow a different calendar.

Praise Jesus!

Pffft! That's totally fake, dude. NOTHING can prevent the red ring of death on the 360. :down

Actually, you were the one that brought up, "past debates," genius. It's almost as though you know you're too ******ed to keep up, so you keep shifting the focus of the argument and accuse the other person of doing the same. Brilliant strategy. :whatever:

In any case, when I ridiculed the idea of the pole-shift (specifically any dangerous aspect of it), the UFO's and the falsified photographs, you chose the UFO's specifically to, "ask," me about.

The thing of it is, I never made any indication in that post that I thought, "ALL," (your word) UFO sightings, video, etc. were ridiculous. It was pretty clearly implied that I was speaking directly in terms of the videos that you had posted.

Try again.
I brought up the past debates only in reference to the tone that was used in them. I brought no direct thread/topic up, however.

And, um, no, I did not just choose the UFO's specifically, but also the crop circles, Niburu, etc......... ?????????????

You're still dodging exactly what happened back at the start of this, our new squabble. I only 'asked' you something. You acted as though I 'accused' you of something.

I never said I wasn't childish. Nice try, once again.

Your posts are completely circular. It's not necessarily about, "a mistake or two." It's about the diversion tactics and the lack of any sort of reasoning. It's amazing. You should be studied.
Well, at least you admitted you act childish.

If you find my posts circular, that's because that's what it is and you're trying to escape from it or something.

I'm gonna pee on Wall_Crawler_2003 if the planet's polar points switch locations.

It's a scary concept...I hope it turns out to be another Y2K deal.

Yeah, you, "asked," me something. There wasn't at all a tone of implication. :whatever:

So, you're saying that every single UFO report and alien sighting and crop field mystery and even Niburu, are just a joke? Whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's the post wallcrawler, exactly as I said. Not just UFO's but also Niburu, aliens, and the crop circles. Once again, you're wrong. Just admit it.

edit: Funny how you deleted the part of your above post where you said it was just UFO's and that you were going to quote me if you had too.

Fine, I was mistaken. If that's your biggest arguing point in this whole ongoing mess, you're in trouble.

Dude, I'm still waiting for you to quote me saying that the poles wouldn't switch. Need a dictionary to sort through all the big words?

Fair Tax won't stop Chuck Norris though.
The Fairtax already kick the Shyt out of Chuck Norris, why do you think he's Huckabee's Bytch? Do you really think that Huckabee kicked Chuck's ass? No.

Fairtax: Weapon of Fair Taxation!

It is a big point, though. Something you said and were so confident in (to the point where 'you' were going to quote me), and yet you end up being wrong and it ends up being exactly as I said. So, if you're wrong in one area, you could be wrong in others.

Regardless, none of us are perfect and we all make mistakes. I threw in those vid's because it ties in with 2012.

Let me ask you this, is there a planet Niburu and are we going to start seeing it in the next couple of years as the video says? That's my biggest question at the moment. If we see it as the video says, then I'll start considering other contents of the videos more seriously.

I don't know whether there's a planet Niburu (Nibiru?). It's certainly not impossible, especially given the extremely elliptical orbit it's been portrayed as having.

Still, with all of the diagrams I've seen I find it rather hard to believe that

1) The orbit could be that elliptical AND that the planet would still be so under the influence of the sun's gravity at its farthest point that it would loop back around,

and

2) Its orbital cycle could really be that long (thousands of years). That's something you see with planets orbiting much, much larger stars.

That said, the video was absolutely absurd. I haven't changed my mind on that front. I seems to me as though it was some half-assed effort to connect strange predictions and occurrences that cannot actually be verified (until, of course, 12/21/12 rolls around).

All they did was throw these supposed phenomena together. Even IF:

1) UFO's are proven to in fact be extra terrestrial organisms visiting earth

and

2) Niburu (Nibiru?) actually is shown to exist conclusively...

...it does nothing to prove that these things are somehow related, and it does even less to prove that the Mayan calendar is somehow involved. Don't even get me started on the extinct son-of-angels giants that the video portrays. That's been debunked time and time again.

*Sigh*

Guess that's my thought on THAT in a nutshell.

I wanted to address this separately.

I'm not infallible. I know that. However, making an error in a debate about a quote is quite a far cry from making an error in logic or an error in professing actual scientific knowledge. There's a world of difference there. That said, you're really stating the obvious here.

I never said you did. I just figured if I needed to pee on somebody when the polar axis switched locations, might as well be you.

I....I don't know quite how to feel about that. Angered, honored....?
