how far into the credits was the dedication?

Parents will be carrying their sleeping kids out of the theater. Here's a hint, Bryan-- not everything from Donner's Superman should be emulated.

There was a lot of homages, but not everything was emulated. I loved the newly updated version of the end scene.

As far as crowd reaction is concerned. The audience clapped when the theme began, clapped when he saved the plane, clapped when he throw the huge rock of kryptonite into space, and gave it a rousing standing ovation once the film was over.

I can't wait to see it again on Wednesday.

I agree. Its fine in this film but the next one Singer has to push out into his own Superman Universe more.

I think he will. I think he just want to make a little nice tribute to Donner with this one & will surely make the sequels his own. Is Ottman's songs in this movie any good? I notice fews are saying he was great with SR.

Better than United 93??????????????? Now that is IMPRESSIVE!!!!!!!!!!

so they clapped DURING the film too?!?WHAT?!?

She also put herself back together. Grew a tail & some furs too. Now that's a *****....cat there. :yellow:

I'm sorry, I don't know how the Superman theme sounds, as I never saw the animated series or the Chris Reeve movies. Yeah, I know that's quite n00bish, but I'll catch up with the old movies in my vacation. So, when I go see SR how can I recognise it? I'd like to know, as people make a big deal about here. When does it play? The beginning, the plane scene, the end?

It should play at the beginning of the movie...just like in SM:TM.

Oh dude I'm so excited. It's sunken in, on Tuesday I will be seeing SR! A friend of mine is buying tickets right now as we speak. I know I for one will not be cheering because I will be too busy being teary-eye, wide-eyed with mouth open to be able to cheer.

Im not a fan of Ottman at all really. I can say that his work in this film is amazing. He hits all the emotional cues everytime with this score. His work is one of the main things that makes this film so good.

The Movie was amazing, everything about it, cant wait for the sequel(s)

See I didnt get to see after the credits cause they turned it off. But my god when the movie went off i started clapping like and hooting like a little school boy. Thank god the audience followed suit, even though i wouldnt have cared to be the only one clapping

How is the movie's pazing!?? I heard that they rush it quite a bit in the begining, like they can't yank him away from the Kent Farm fast enough, and that's sad!!!

What a genius.

Tell you what, give me proof that you've seen it and can accurately gauge how much was emulated and then I'll stop telling everyone you're a putz.

And besides, if anyone falls asleep from Donner's films, they need to grow up. Just because it's a comic book movie doesn't mean it shouldn't function as a real movie with a few action sequences. Those are the best comic book films, or did you miss the wild approval for Batman Begins?

People wanting mindless action and or "kool" stuff is what caused Hulk to get 100% unfairly shafted. And I'm not even a fan of the Hulk.
