Yes it happened. A bunch of undeserving knobs saw TDK this week!
It happened in Burbank at the request of an industry big wig in preparation for the marketing onslaught that will accompany TDK. Big wig needs to see the film to do his job effectively. The screening was for someone who will be known as 'The Chin" and his cohorts.
I tried to get information on how it went and the only word I got was; and this is a direct quote:"If you combined the Spiderman, Hulk and Iron Man films, they wouldn't reach up to The Dark Knight's ankles. That's how tall the new Batflick stands next to those aforementioned films." The word masterpiece was thrown around.
Of course, Heath's performance is out of this world but that's no surprise...the real surprise revelation is Aaron Eckart as Harvey Dent. It's a starmaking role. People will be shocked at how good Eckart is in the film. His role is huge.
The Batmobile is destroyed beyond repair and we don't get a new one.
Two-Face shows up only at the very end...and the biggest reveal--Just when you think the movie is finished and the credits are about to roll, everything starts over again. What this means, I don't know but I was told that it was pretty mind-blowing stuff. Very Chris Nolan.
The person I spoke to was very tight-lipped and didn't want to tell me more...even after the offer of many bribes...
I can't take the waiting anymore!
