Yep like a said The Shield are getting their Post Judgement Day 2000 Retaliation moment ala The Rock.

It's great booking, keeps them badass. I'm interested in the way it ends with [BLACKOUT]Fandango getting bombed off the stage,[/BLACKOUT] maybe he returns repackaged?

I also think Cesaro vs Swagger being over is interesting and I am looking forward to the Heyman/Zeb promo at the start of the show. :D

Steve Blackman was backstage at the taping tonight, I loved his gimmick when he went heel and JR started talking about him having a special forces past with years of his life unaccounted for. :funny:

Definitely Makes up for that Buzzkill of a Raw from last night...Triple fold

I miss Steve Blackman. He was fun to watch because he was so dam serious.

Career parallels between Daniel Bryan and The Rock:

- Both were assumed to become failures when they were in generic gimmicks

- Both got over when they tweaked their characters during heel turns

- Both ended up getting title reigns and then getting "demoted" to work in a comedy duo tag team such as Rock N Sock Connection and Team Hell

- Both were put through the ringer in their later title pursuits in top storylines involving HHH

- Both had stop gap feuds shortly before officially reentering the title Chase in Mania season. Rock with Big Show and Bryan with Bray Wyatt.

- Both are guys that got popular under circumstances that weren't exactly on WWE's terms. Rock got face reactions as a heel despite failing as a White Meat Babyface and Bryan got over despite all the efforts to bury him. I.E. People's Champions.

- Both got their title victories after 6 or more months of being put through the storyline ringer. Rock at Backlash 2000 and Bryan at Mania 30.

So again, I may be in the minority, but under proper circumstances, I think this could be a great torch passing feud for Daniel Bryan to have at one of the big four PPVs:

Smackdown Spoilers

-Vickie Guerrero opened Smackdown and announced The Shield for another 3-on-11 match.

-Paul Heyman and Zeb Colter hosted a "debate" which was just the two of them bickering back and forth.

(1) Cesaro def. Jack Swagger

-The Shield came out and took out Jack Swagger with a Superman Punch and a triple powerbomb. They cut a promo about Swagger not adapting or "evolving", and that they weren't done tonight.

(2) Tamina def. Natalya

-The Shield attacked all three members of 3MB backstage.

-Triple H called Vickie Guerrero and gave her the night off. Brad Maddox is her replacement for the evening.

(3) Curtis Axel def. Jey Uso

-The Wyatt Family came down and lowered a steel cage around the ring.

Bray Wyatt talked about John Cena losing all of his followers, and that it was all thanks to them. He sang his song on top of the cage to end the segment.

(4) Erick Rowan & Luke Harper def. Cody Rhodes & Goldust.

-The Shield attacked Brad Maddox backstage.

- Santina and Emma came out for a tag team match. Fandango came out next, but The Shield attacked him from behind and hit him with a triple powerbomb OFF the stage.

Full spoilers:

WWE taped this week's WWE Main Event from Hershey, PA. Here are the results:

* Dark match: Bo Dallas defeat a local wrestler. Bo got the win with his double underhook finisher.

* Dark match: Sami Zayn defeat Heath Slater.

* SmackDown opens up with Vickie Guerrero, Cesaro, Jack Swagger, Paul Heyman and Zeb Colter in the ring. There are two podiums set up. Vickie announces the main event tonight will be The Shield vs. 11 other Superstars. She then announces The Great Debate between Heyman and Zeb. Zeb says he wants to debate with Cesaro on turning his back. Zeb asks Heyman why he stole Cesaro. Heyman says Brock Lesnar ended The Streak about 20 times. Zeb asks again why he stole Cesaro. Heyman asks when was the last time a Zeb Colter Guy won. He said by the time Cesaro won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, he was already a Heyman Guy. Zeb pushes over the podium and shoves Heyman. They start to get into it but are broken up.

* Cesaro defeated Jack Swagger with The Neutralizer. After the match, The Shield's music hits and they come out. Roman Reigns hits a Superman punch on Swagger and then they hit him with the triple powerbomb. Dean Ambrose said it looked like Swagger failed to adapt.

* Tamina Snuka defeated Natalya with a kick that was botched. This match was described as not smooth at all.

* Backstage segment with 3MB talking about how they are in tonight's main event. The Shield shows up and destroys them.

* Vickie Guerrero is backstage in her office on the phone with Triple H. He asks her about The Shield. She says she called them to her office but they didn't come. Triple H tells her to take the night off and in comes Brad Maddox.

* Curtis Axel defeated Jey Uso.

* The Wyatt Family comes out and cuts a promo inside a steel cage that's lowered. Bray Wyatt talks about John Cena and gets the crowd to sing "whole world in his hands" with him.

* Erick Rowan and Luke Harper defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust. During the match, Bray taunted the crowd and asked them if they are unimpressed with what we see from the Rhodes brothers, saying they are not the future. Cody goes for a moonsault but Goldust runs into him. Goldust gets upset, leading to him getting pinned.

* Backstage segment with Brad Maddox on the phone. The Shield comes in and destroys him. Ambrose jumps on Maddox behind the couch and beats him some more.

* The Shield vs. Titus O'Neil, Ryback, Alberto Del Rio, Damien Sandow, Bad News Barrett and Curtis Axel is next. The Sheild ends up clearing the ring except for Barrett, who ran to the back Axel takes a Superman punch. Sandow takes a spear and The Shield wins the match. Ryback and Titus also get speared. Ryback takes the triple powerbomb. The Shield stand tall in the ring.

I could see WWE doing that Blackman's Bounties show.

So The Shield beat Titus O'Neil, Ryback, Alberto Del Rio, Damien Sandow, Bad News Barrett and Curtis Axel. So much for those guys' careers.

The comedy duo tag team parallel doesn't work. Yeah, Rock was in a comedy tag team, but he was still a main-eventer during it. Bryan was really demoted during the tag team run.

- Both were put through the ringer in their later title pursuits in top storylines involving HHH

Bryan's was more difficult, and Rock had history with Triple H. In fact, Rock became a main-eventer first and helped elevate Triple H. Not the same with Bryan.

If Bryan's going to have a passing of the torch, it should be for the "Mr. Wrestlemania" title, and the company would need to beg HBK to come out of retirement. :D

So The Shield beat Titus O'Neil, Ryback, Alberto Del Rio, Damien Sandow, Bad News Barrett and Curtis Axel. So much for those guys' careers.

Well, Barrett ran out of the ring before damage was inflicted. He was protected.

Everyone else...they aren't going anywhere anyway.

Oh yeah, that whole thing was funny and badass at the same time. It's a shame though that they didn't show the part where The Rock was hiding in that dark room eavesdropping on HHH being warned about him and he walked out of the shadows looking like a badass once they left.

I'm glad Rusev avoided that main event as the entire roster of mid card heels just jobbed to The Shield...and what happened to Fandango getting bombed off the stage?

Guys, what if The Rock came back using this look and persona:
th

In a potential feud to put over Daniel Bryan?

What would make it cooler is if he used this theme song again: [YT]w5txEiXYyxA[/YT]

Just imagine how big of a feud the two People's Champs could have. Rock is one of the few that match Bryan in overness with the crowd right now and if those two had a Mania match, it would be huge.

I didn't like the way Rock was used at the last two Mania but when thinking about big match situations for Bryan, Four people come to mind: Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, John Cena and The Rock.

In terms of guys that Bryan could feud with at big PPVs to make his title reign memorable as well as having storylines that could write themselves.

So what do y'all say about The New People's Champ vs The Original Self-Proclaimed People's Champ?

I love anything that involves the Rock, but I doubt he wants to come back and be the heel-via-default at this point in his life. Plus, he's too old for the "too cool for school" vibe of the People's Champ and I don't think he can regrow his hair at this point.

Well if *****etista can get away with dressing in suits and stuff then I think the Rock definitely can even if he couldn't regrow his hair. Especially if he carried himself in the same way as a Brash, Cocky, badass with some wit. As opposed to his current Cena-esque gimmick where he focuses more on pandering and complete silliness.

With his old gimmick he can go back to cutting sarcastic yet serious promos.

His stuff with Al Snow was awesome. My favorite with them is still when Al Snow was telling jokes at that Nursing Home. :hehe:

Heck he can wear that leather vest he used to wear in 2001 and 2003 if he wanted to. If anything he could come off as even more too cool for school now if he wanted to, being a movie star and all.

You mean another guy getting mega over unexpectedly?

CM Punk became difficult when he got to the top (understandably). Ziggler is being antsy as it is. Imagine how he's going to be if he makes it to the main event scene again?

Disclaimer: I'm a Ziggler fan, but I'm looking at it from WWE's point of view.

Well maybe if they stopped politicking and trying to undercut guys that don't fit their mold then they wouldn't have that problem. Funny thing is Vince use to always take a liking to the guys willing to butt heads with him over the treatment of their characters yet hypocritically he wants to bury someone simply because Ziggler is more than he was "intended" to be...In the eyes of the fans that is.

Now imagine if that Rock feuded with Daniel Bryan. Can you say #BUYSBUYSBUYS? Lol
