I thought it would be fun to have a thread where we daydream and spitball original (not an adaptation or remake) movie ideas that we wish would become a reality. Feel free to be as crazy or serious with your ideas as you wish.

I'll get us started:

Trust the Dead: (Action Thriller) Ralph Fiennes plays a British secret service analyst who uncovers a conspiracy within the organization. Due to his discovery, he is charged with treason, and the only friend he can trust is an aging agent, Liam Neeson, who faked his own death years ago to keep his family safe. Now Neeson must choose between his duty to his family, to his friend, and to his country.

Reason: I want to see Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson be badass secret agents in a movie together. That's all.

No specific plot...
But Liam Neeson and Denzel Washington need to do an action film together. Actually very surprised that that hasn't happened yet.

I've ALWAYS wished they'd do an action thriller film where a big time actor (Preferably Liam Neeson, Will Smith, Stallone, Tom Cruise, Bruce Willis etc.) literally plays him (or her)self and is thrust into a crazy "Die Hard-esque" situation. Sort of like This is the End but more of an action thriller where let's say Will Smith is at a bank or a train station and it is being held hostage and now its up to the real life Will Smith (or insert your favorite action hero) to save the day. I think it could be very satirical and fun to see what these guys whose whole lives revolve around PLAYING heroes on film would do if something like this happened to them in real life.

That sounds like a fun movie.

I'd like to see a Biopic about the early days of Black Sabbath and the birth of Metal.
Also a Charles Manson film.

Romantic comedy starring Henry Cavill and Matt Bomer.

I'd watch that in a heartbeat.

A disenfranchised city maintenance worker sees his idealistic brother's notion of a fairy tale romance crushed by the ruling monarchy. He becomes a representative of the other members of the lower class and agrees to a help a neighboring tyrant ruler gain access to the monarchy's territory. In the process, his belief in victory by revolution is challenged just as his brother is forced to confront the unrealistic nature of his expectations and thus strives to improve himself while destroying the old, decrepit regime.

Hee hee hee.

A comedy where an action film set is taken hostage, and the only people that can save the A-list actors and crew are the extras, who were hanging in the backroom. The terrorists never thought to look for them.

Sounds like JCVD.

sounds like something they did with Bruce Campbell a few years ago

I would love something like that in a action movie scale/scenario :awesome:

A killer robot driving instructor who travels back in time for some reason. He has to make a heartbreaking decision about whether his friend lives...or dies. His friend's a talking pie!

Good luck with that trying to not look like a Power Rangers rip-off if it ever happens lol.

Anyways, I would love a superhero movie where an underdog is bestowed the power of every superhero ever(he can only access it by thinking of said hero and can have their powers for 15 minutes) then over the course of the movie he learns what it means to be a hero. It's a simple love letter to the whole genre. I would include and cast actors who've only ever been in a superhero movies. Everyone leaves their Marvel/DC allegiance at the door here.

A buddy cop movie with Stephen Dillane and Michael McElhatton as the buddy cops. Or they could play the city maintenance worker brothers from my first post in this thread.

Agreed on Voltron and the Cavill/Bomer thing. :D

Also, if Warcraft turns out great, I want them to do a Diablo movie. Could it happen? I remember about a decade or so ago, that lame Vin Diesel movie A Man Apart had to change its name from Diablo because of the game. My hope was always that Blizzard forced them to do that because they had hopes of someday giving us a film based on the game. The story is great, and with the popularity of darker fantasy epics like Game of Thrones going strong, I think a Diablo film could really work. I'd prefer they just go straight into Diablo II; the events of the first game could just be displayed in a brief prologue and the real story could begin with the Dark Wanderer leaving Tristram.

♫These happy days are yours and mine, happy days♫

Since Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was such a huge blockbuster, I say we give other historical figures a shot at this mashup genre.

Queen Victoria: Dragonslayer
Gandhi vs. Aliens
Sir Francis Drake and the Scourge of Atlantis

...and there we have Asylum's next 3 movies! :funny:
